I imagine Locke having a framed Lahm picture on his nightstand.
too bad for Rüdiger. Would expect Rudy to be called up now.

I'm still shocked Lahm called it quits before having a go at being simultaneous European and World champion.
Arsene Wenger just predicted Croatia to win. Do I dare to dream? If Croatia makes the final I foresee myself flying to Zagreb to watch the match in the main square. And getting a tattoo I'll regret. And likely doing other things I'll regret.

Best wing back in the world. Can't believe he retired before the Euros.

Former France international Robert Pires thinks that Dimitri Payet should start ahead of Anthony Martial when the host country kick off Euro 2016 against Romania on Friday.

I dont know about that, but if I'm managing France I want Payet on the field at all times. Any free kick in the attacking third and Payet gives you an unreal chance.

Personally for me these are the best moments of Lahm's international career. Skip to 8:00 for the best parts - he does a great job standing there watching the ball fly into the back of his net in extra time.

Forza Azzurri!

well he had to, they had no central midfielders after Xabi Alonso, Toni Kroos, Thiago, and Bastian Schweinsteiger
you have to fill 2 whole spots there, much better to pull the teams only good RB over and sit 3 of those on the bench

May as well put Muller on the bench too in the Champions League. I mean all he has done is become a legendary international, but who needs him right?
God, I wanted to strangle Pep.

So you should basically cheer for Italy. The most dysfunctional, chippy, slow the game down, dive to get a call, chirpy, self destructive team in every tournament.
They either suck profoundly, or win the whole thing.
I say this as a passport carrying Italian so if you disagree with my assessment; v*******o, testa di c***o
