I miss the days when teen heartthrobs just trashed hotel rooms. Oh Donnie Wahlberg, you broke my 12 year old heart!

Bruce Dale, Justin’s grandfather, answered the phone after three rings Thursday. Initially he told me he had nothing to say before saying this:
“Let me ask you something,” he said. “Do you have a 19-year-old son?
“When you have one, then you can talk about what they are doing. What [Justin] does is everything a 19-year-old boy does, only he is more open. The paparazzi follow him around. So don’t tell me he is doing something that any other kid isn’t doing.”

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.
The grandpa is right, but the fact that his dad is out there reliving his youth off of his son is kind of pathetic.
I'm not saying I didn't do some reckless and stuff around that age, but I had way more common sense than to get intoxicated and street race (you don't need a sports car to do it).
The difference isn't just that he has more money. It's that he hasn't had a proper upbringing and his principles are warped.

Yeah, if I was caught drinking and driving at that age, the cops would have to put me in protective custody to protect me from my old man.
Well I mean you see the dude, he's got his arm sleeves and his V-Neck shirt. He's 38 and Bieber is 19, meaning he was locked down at 19 himself. It's totally reliving a missed life. It's interesting that he's out on tour with Bieber, assumingly to keep tabs on him, and is just out there gooning it up too. I wonder what the mother thinks.
It gave me a bit of hope when I asked my junior lifeguard club tonight if anyone like the "Beibs"....
38 kids aged 8-15 all screamed at once "NOOOOO!" and "EWWWWWW!". It brought a tear to my eye. And then we had a brief discussion if they thought that he was a good role model. It was awesome.
Next week, I introduce Metallica.
