Last game Kerr was saying how the coaching staff wanted the backup to track some kind of stat, I forget what exactly though. SN even showed Macdonald last game jotting down notes.

It just looks hilarious with everything going down the crapper, that Harley has Kipper doing notes and he looked real pleased about it.

It is hard to imagine the Flames getting any better though either. I think Florida has 1st overall wrapped up, but the other three teams could easily pass the Flames.

Once the Oilers are done there roadtrip tomorrow, they have 14 of their final 21 at home, they have been a .500 hockey club at home, they should be able to stay above Calgary, Columbus is playing better and getting some goaltending, I suspect that the Avs will improve over the second half, and you got to think Philly will be better. Hard to pinpoint the teams that the Flames will pass, although the games against Columbus, Colorado and Edmonton will be key.

Overall, I would say it Flames have about a 33% chance of a top 3 pick and probably a 75% chance for a top five pick.

We need to try and get two first rounders and draft Barkov (up to 6'3 210 already) and Mantha (6'3 205, smooth skating, 48 goals already).

I have never seen a rebuild person who seemed angry at a Flames loss this year, I know I have not been upset myself.

LOL. Only this team would think they should have some sort of reward for finally getting one game above .500.

Realy tells you the mind set of this team.

Hmmm. Shut out on the ice, shut out on the golf course.

Consistency is key.

The other good thing for the Flames is that Florida and TBay play 3 more times, Florida plays the Caps once, Florida plays the Sabres once.

Tampa plays the Caps 2 more times, Tampa plays the Sabres 2 times

The Caps play the Sabres 2 more times.

One has to figure that one or two of those teams may breakout and win the majority of those head to head match ups, or better yet get some 3 point games.

Really time for our scouts to hone in on the top 8 prospects and make sure we know who we take if we have to make a choice at 1,2 or 3. We need to scout the Halifax games.

I'm leaning towards drouin.

I never thought I'd watch a Florida - Buffalo game and hope for a 3 point game.

Oh my.
