Spain moves the ball so well to create chances, Italy is disgusting as usual.

How did Cassano not get at least a yellow card for that?

I think Italy has been the more active team.

Spain is a bit sluggish.

Watching Spain/Barcelona reminds just why they are thecmost boring team in the world to watch. Pass, pass, pass never take a #### on net dive, dive, dive and hope Messi scores on his own.

Watching the pathetic Spanish dives hopefully they miss Messi as much as Barca does when he isnt awesome for them.

yet they are getting decent chances at goal. Spain better play at both ends, or they're going to surrender a goal here.

Why would they miss him if he's never played for them.

I know he's Argentinian.

Spain sets the soccer world back 100 years.

How can you play soccer without a tall #9 linking forward/talisman. How can soccer be played without any crosses and without any headers? 20 passes then lose it.

Italy, who is not known for offense, whenever they get the ball immediately launch it forward and have forced Casillas into at least 5 good saves. Italy plays a much more pleasing to the eye game and I'd never thought I'd say that.

you don't need a tall striker but if you are going to play someone as a false 9 like Barca do Messi you need someone who actually knows how to do it effectively

they have no one playing wide, no danger so far from set pieces, and nothing over the top

De Rossi playing as a Libero nullifies the runs of the midfielders in to throughballs as well

they are making it easy for Italy to defend

I would be somewhat surprised if Llorente or Torres aren't on within 15-20 minutes

Because they play the same style with a majority of the players of Barcelona.

Obviously the Canucks must watch lots of Italy game tapes for diving tips.

The team that has won back to back major tournaments is setting the soccer world back? Quite the opposite IMO, the obsession with lumping it forward at a #9 is ridiculous.
