Honestly, an increase in effort now, at 5-1, with 10 minutes left in an elimination game, would just make me even more mad. Show up when theres not enough time for it to matter? Sounds about right.

If I was running the Colorado bench my top guys would be sitting the rest of the game as it is over. I can see this getting really ugly after that Mackinnon hit. There is no need to put your tops guys in a bad position.

Maybe the first half of regular season was just a mirage.
Can’t really compare this to the Lightning losing. They have actually accomplished a few things.
