So Jokipakka and Nakladal are one solid pairing. Really enjoying their play.

Absolutely no ideas and passing game without Huldler. Very much difference between us and Pit. I mean style of play, posession and technique.

It's nice to watch anybody but Hiller play Goal.

Pretty sure gaudreau can hold up his end of the bargain in the creativity department, but he is having an off game to be sure

Come on Johnny. You gotta do better than that. Bennett looked good though. Engelland looked bad but Brodie and hamilton looked good.

So we are all in agreement then. Starting next year:
Brodie-Hamilton
Giordano-UFA
Jokipakka-Nakladal
Engelland

Maybe he and Ferland will play well together. Colborne is better when he's physical, and Ferland likes to initiate contact, so it may rub off. Hitting can be infectious. They are similar in that they both have size (Colborne has the height and Feland has the heft) and a bit of skill to go with it.

Nakladal I've liked, Jokipakka I'm not sold on just yet, and this Brodie-Hamilton thing... woah guys, slow down.

EWWWWWW....Phil Kessel Sr. played for the Stamps? Did not know, and never wanted to know that.

I have always wondered why in the NHL or other leagues players stay on the ice in their own zone when a stick is broken? They are useless out there outside maybe a shot block. It takes 4 seconds to skate to the bench and grab a stick and be back in the play.
This has been a huge annoyance for me for years and I know that Kelly Hrudey brought up this topic a few games ago. Just now we were down a man for what seemed like 20+ seconds and the guy was doing nothing.
Rant over!

Completely agree - drives me nuts.
Especially in the 1st and 3rd periods. He wasn't more than 20 ft from the bench. Three strides and he has a stick.
Second period is at least debatable, but in the 1st and 3rd, it's ridiculous to not go grab a stick.
My thoughts: when a forward breaks his stick like that, have the other forwards cheat to the far (non-bench) side so that the player who has to grab a stick then covers the short (bench) side.
Total time to adjust? Three seconds max.

As a 3rd pairing guy, I'm pretty sold. Sub in Engelland every few games for him.
What to do with Wideman is the question. I really don't want him on the 2nd pairing with Giordano.

Not liking Ferland at all right now. Not paying attention and it makes him late to pucks or missing them all together.

No kidding.
Giordano-Brodie has been one of the 3 or 4 best pairings in the league for 2 years.
One uneventful period with Brodie-Hamilton and people want the switch.

The biggest issue with Bob Cole now is he doesn't seem to recognize a good scoring chance unless Crosby has the puck. And even then its usually after the fact.
We can get a cross crease onetimer and he'll say nothing.
Still love his style and voice, but listening to him is kind of sad now.
