Whether you like him or not the NHL needs more players like Subban. I like him but I would like him a lot more if he didn't play for such a detested organization.

They should be very happy. It's one thing to donate money, but actually putting in the time with the kids is amazing. Canadiens and the NHL are lucky to have guys like this representing them.

The rabid fans here are crazy though. There is some grumbling (no, not much, but definitely some) that PK should be spending more time focussed on hockey and less time with his charity work.
That is what losing 9 of 10 does for you in Montreal

Seems to me that PK parents did an outstanding job raising him, and that PK really gets it.

Good for all involved.

Pk being Pk. Say what you want about him on the ice. He is a true class act. As I began to tear up, I realized its hard to hate this guy.

Great job PK!

Subban certainly loves the spotlight and he's chosen to have it shine on him for great reasons. What an excellent role model.

Wow. That video was tugging at the heart strings. Can't believe the Hockey media tried to portray P.K as a hooligan in the N.H.L. in his early career.

The only part that threw me off was the tear jerking moment with the family that lost their house in a fire. I guess the big American viral stories of people getting things replaced had me expecting too much in this video.

I mean, I knew it wouldn't be like "Hey, we bought you a $500k house" or anything, but I guess I had prepared for more than "Here's $5k to help you out". Still amazing, I'm not trying to take away from what he did here, I guess it was just my stupid viral video watching habits that got me too pumped up for that moment.

PK is what the Flames needed Dion to be. Their first 3 year are very similar. Subsequent years have proven PK to have both a personality and coachability.
