Kunitz hasn't looked great, but Crosby needs to get going too. I hope those two start showing more in the next two periods. If that line got their act together this team would look fantastic going forward.

I know Crosby is the best player in the world, but if he's not working with anyone out there I hope he sees very limited icetime, the other options are just that much better.

I respectfully disagree. I thought those two looked a lot better than Carter and Crosby did. Kunitz is the guy that's out of place.

Why do you think so? This implies that they want 4 left defensemen for some reason. Basically, there has to be one scratch, and it'll be Subban, Hamhuis, Vlasic, or, very unlikely, Bouwmeester.
Why would you take Hamhuis or Vlasic over PK? I'd sit Vlasic, personally.

Well, that's a pretty good description I think.
Subban thinks he needs to impress Babcock so he's trying too hard to be noticeable.
Babcock will notice him out there alright, notice glaring mistakes that we probably don't catch based on his system.
If Subban wants to impress Babcock, he'll play a disciplined, contained game. That is the best way to impress a coach like Babcock. Don't cost anyone, cover for mistakes, you'll get another shift.

I might be on an island but I think Carter looks exceptional as a set up man on international ice.

This has been gone over lots when Subban was selected. Personally, I don't understand why Subban made the team as he doesn't bring anything that Weber, Doughty, Keith, etc does offensively and is riskier than the other 7 defensively.
He just doesn't have a place. Like Flash said, if he wants to displace Vlasic or Hamhuis, he needs to dial it back, play conservative and if he gets a shot on the PP, bring a little more offence then.

Oh my god that was the stupidest thing I've heard from Healy in a while. Yeah, I'd much rather play against Mikko Koivu, because I've seen him before, than some nobody from the SEL. Christ, what a moron.

need to shoot a little more....and lets not forget Crosby and whoever he plays with are playing against the top defenders on the other team. Many of these teams have 2 or 3 good d-men so the other lines for Canada get a much easier matchup....the benefit of depth
kinda called it, Crosby sneaks out there and bang goal as I was typing

How do you just let Carter STAND there if you're the Dman there? Brutal.
Wow, great save by Luongo.

Had an idea!

At this point Kunitz might be holding the Crosby line back. Looks completely out of place.

It almost seemed like Carter was sorry for scoring that goal with the beyond muted celebration.
