I don't think there's a choice given on those major injuries, if there was, Michael would have cut his hands off, jammed metal hooks into the bloody sockets and carried on after cooking himself.

I really thought she'd go far in the game, she wasn't a girly-girl so I figured she'd mesh well with the guy's team so her biggest challenge would have been avoiding the cattiness of the women's tribe.
But I still had to chuckle at her remarks that she tried her best & hoped her son would be proud, you broke your wrist during the very first part of the very first challenge. The only way you could have come up shorter would be if you broke your wrist during the "strip the truck for supplies" thing at the beginning.

amazing how 12 years later that Michael fire injury still comes up. It isn't in the context of how bad an injury it was, it is always instead about how good, or popular, or how much people wanted to see him continue in the game.
I agree. He was one of my favorite survivor players.
Back to this season...who goes next week do you think?

Physically and determination wise nobody touched Michael in any seasons before or after, and as dominate as he was at the start, he was getting stronger and stronger.
If I recall the sob killed a pig and butchered it. We're not talking fish or chicken. The guy went nuts on a pig.

I had Mike in my pool that year, with money on the line.
I had it locked up... then they stole it from me...
I wonder if he will ever get another shot.
Survivor: Underated
Bring back some of the best players that just never got a good shot. I think Jim? (The marijauna dealer) from last season would be another great candidate.

I guess I'm just ticked because one of my girls got the boot, but it really is something watching some of these people go on the show saying how they want to win and how they want to win the money, yet really play the game so poorly.
Your team is a disaster, Kat is a disaster, you haven't won anything, and you could vote out Kat, make the team stronger and the alliance would still be up 4-3.
Nope.........keep the weak link and vote out the stronger player at the beginning of the game and keep getting your arses kicked.. So stupid.

Not to mention the girls could use "Mr Gay" as a part of their alliance to help gather intel and make moves once the merge happens. No forethought or planning at all.

It's stupid to live & die by their alliance so early in the game... but it's understandable, I mean what else do they have at this point besides their alliance?
They've yet to win a challenge, they arean't gelling as a team at all, and it's their second visit to tribal in the first 5 days of the game. The smart team would cut their losses and rethink the alliance, but given that they can't even get along enough to keep pace in a challenge it's not surprising they won't do that.
At this point the worse thing the men have had to deal with is colton sulking around like a sad sack, which didn't seem to effect them in challenges at all or getting their camp set up.

Agreed. I guess it probably is a lot different when you're actually there playing the game. If you know your 5 are strong you probably want to hold onto that for dear life. It was interesting when Jeff asked the two girls (Sabrina and the cute blonde) if they would have aligned themselves differently if they could do it over again and they both said yes. But then Monica voted for Christina and Christina voted for Nina. Nothing made sense. Just weird all around.
Looking at the previews it doesn't look like it's going to get much better for the ladies anytime soon. They could keep losing for a while.

I was laughing throughout the whole tribal council Nina kept talking about how physical and athletic she is, but I didn't see that throughout her short stay. The only athletic thing that she did was fall on her face and bitch and moan.
Kat though for a salesperson did a lousy job of defending herself, I would think that any sales success that she has are thanks to her sweater puppies.
And thanks to Survivor for introducing the Cleavage cam to the show, they have some outstanding talent this year.
That Coltan kid is annoying. I have no trouble with his lifestyle. But man the whole mincing over feminine estrogen labeled gay act thing just makes me roll my eyes.
Really Coltan be as gay as you want, but series when your more of a wheepy hysterical girl then the actual girls on the beach you become annoying.
IF the guys lose there's no doubt that they'll vote for Sister Coltan and at the very least drag out the immunity idol, or blind side him.
The guy is useless, he doesn't work, he doesn't do anything in the challenges, chances are he's going to the final 3.

When even the girls started to ostracize him, I just knew he was going to go have a cry.
Horrible decision to get rid of Nina. Not because she is a prime physical specimen, but because somebody like Kat is such a distraction to the tribe. I can see the Selanne tribe spiraling out of control for 2 more weeks before they do a shakeup and re-draw the tribes.
Definitely a solid start to the season though.

People are enjoying this season so far?
For me it has been very 'meh', and I usually get sucked right into Survivor.

I feel like such a misogynist for saying this, but every episode i'm having a good laugh at the ineptitude of the social game of the women.
I'm sure I'll laugh later when the group of meat heads has to start thinking for themselves, but right now, the bickering and petty infighting on the women's team is pretty effing funny if only for it's stereotypical nature. The classic, almost highschool style roles each is taking on is just too rich.
My wife rolls her eyes but I can't help but chuckle.

TBH im not liking the way the tribes are divided. I just find Girls against Guys boring and it doesnt help that the girls tribe is so incredibly weak atm. By the time the guys had 3 people across on the balancing challenge you knew that they were going to win. Why? because they were like 20 minutes ahead.
Liking Lief but not Colton in the "Im Different Category" ie) Deaf, Prostetic Leg, Gay, Crazy Religious

I don't know why they do men versus woman if they're going to have physical challenges. Woman just can't hang with men (not to be sexist) but especially since Survivor either brings in power house uber athlete men or smart fat guys who can figure out puzzles.
What they need to do next year is bring in midgets versus giants.
That would be the sh%%

I thought the women would kick ass on the balance beam. Smaller, more agile, able to do Yoga moves with no effort...
I was quite surprised the men moved as adeptly as they did...and was LMAO when Colton was moving across.
as to the Captain above...its time for a Transexuals vs Gay men or Lesbians episode.
