Going up the bridge from Shawnessy to get onto northbound MacLeod is a stupid intersection also, and a short merge to boot.

Its the lights at Lake Fraser Gate. I have actually tried to meet with our alderman about this (and the funding issue of a local park) but she was too busy. Thats complete garbage IMO.
Anyway, the lights at Lake Fraser Gate should be shut down during rush hour at the very least. Ideally they would be closed forever, and barricaded, but at least allow no left turns during rush hour! I've written about this in a blog posting months ago here: http://victorsspoils.wordpress.com/2...ft-hand-turns/
That set of lights is easily my most hated in the city. When Nenshi was running I had a conversation with him about it as well and he suggested that they would do something about it. Hasn't happened though, much to my dismay! What we need is an alderman who actually lives in the ward. Someone who travels these roads everyday with the rest of us and thus can identify these issues on their own! Instead we have someone who barely responds to constituents, let alone has the time to have a coffee and talk for 15-20 minutes.

This is must be the same idiot who put two traffic lights for pedestrians on Bow Trail west of Sarcee Tr. It total slows the traffic down while the lights cycle through. It would be a lot more efficient with flashing lights which they had before.

Every time I go into iTunes I'm asked if I want to use iTunes my default player for audio files. I always click no but is this something I should be doing?

iTunes is so bloated and terrible I can't stand using it.. I only use it to sync files to my phone etc, otherwise I would never have it installed.
Try Foobar2000 as a good audioplayer, simple, fast and less obnoxious (and free).

One of the best parts of moving to the Galaxy S3 from an iPhone after four years is not having to use iTunes anymore. Just drag and drop my music onto my phone and I'm done. It's sweet.

The answer is, it depends.
Do you ever put a CD in and play it, get emailed or otherwise download audio files and open them and not want to use iTunes?
If the answer is not likely, then there is no harm in it. You will save yourself the annoyance when you open iTunes, and if you want to open it in something else, you can Right Click --> Open With..
If you have some irrational attachment to Windows Media Player, WinAmp, or some other 'less bloated' piece of software, or your computer is slow enough that you actually care about how long iTunes takes to load, then don't.

Anyone know of a way I could get my hands on these, in Calgary?
I had one in St Petersburg and have wanted to eat more ever since.
Here's the site, if it helps: http://www.orklabrands.ru/catalog/29...=290&PAGEN_1=2

I couldn't remember the exact price but thought it was just under $20. So I called Rocky Ridge Co-op and they now charge $1.05/lb, so $21 from empty.
Even the Costco guy said he didn't know how they were able to do it for that price, as they don't buy propane in bulk any more than other gas stations. But since then I saw a show about Costco and they have a 15% maximum markup policy on their products, which I can only assume applies to propane as well.

Ok, so I am trying to get back into Breaking Bad and since I switched to the Gateway system I lost all my shows. I can get them some other way, but I just want to make sure that I am getting the right seasons.
I started to look up season and episode synopsis and realized I was going to spoil something for myself if I went any further, so my question is in spoiler tags below.

This is a bit of a long shot, but does anybody remember a story that was posted on CP a year or two ago, about a man and his wife off-roading from the Northern part of Africa to the south? It was a super long read, and was well documented with photos and journal entries. I'm pretty sure it originated from some sort of off-road enthusiast forums, and if I remember correctly his vehicle was a white Toyota Land Cruiser.
Does anybody have a link to that story?

Yes, I remember that. It was central Africa. I used to have it bookmarked. Let me look for you.

I think this is what you are looking for. They only drove through the Congo though, so maybe we are thinking of different stories.

I didn't have it in my bookmarks anymore, had to do some selective Google searching to find it.
This is a really good read for anyone who hasn't read it.
