Can you really blame Mahomes when Trump can give him a future pardon for whatever stupid crimes he's going to commit?

My favourite part of the game was the commentators commenting on how well Kansas City was shutting down the Philadelphia run game... When they were losing 34-0.
KC may have scored 3 garbage time TDs but that was a drubbing from start to finish.

The only thing that will probably keep that performance from being the greatest defensive performance in Super Bowl history is that 2013 Broncos offense was just much better than this Chiefs offense was. But this felt like a far more thorough beatdown than the one the Seahawks laid in 2013. That the Eagles did not send a single blitz all game and simply crushed the Chiefs front with just four man rush after four man rush just adds to what a comprehensive ass kicking that game was. And it was also an ass kicking on the coaching front too, Eagles called a great game on both sides and the Chiefs made no adjustments at all. Chiefs players and coaches got rattled early on and just never recovered, and the Eagles just never let up.
Hindsight and all that, but the warning signs were there for the Chiefs all year with their inability to protect Mahomes. Even when they had their run of miracle wins it was clear they couldn't protect Mahomes very well. Kicking Thuney out to LT late in the season stabilised things somewhat, but they also hadn't played the kind of dominant front the Eagles had. The Chiefs OL got worked pretty good in the Texans playoff game, mostly from outside, but the Eagles DL was just a different beast than anything they had to deal with and they finally got exposed.
And yeah I could see how mentioning the Chiefs D doing great stopping the run down 34-0 would be funny, but it's also pretty amazing that the Eagles won in a complete slaughter with Saquon having under 60 yards rushing on 25 carries. If you had told Eagles fans that before the game they surely would have expected to lose. Instead, they got to see Kenny Pickett kneeling the game out.

Imagine being a Flames fan and watching the team trade Tkachuk only for him to win a championship and make multiple finals appearances with the Panthers.
Now imagine your also a Titans fan and you see the team trade AJ Brown to Philly, only to see him win the Superbowl and make multiple Superbowl appearances with the Eagles.

The AJ Brown trade was bad but it's not like he was a franchise QB or anything. Probably feels a lot worse for Giants fans as Barkley was a key reason the Eagles were in the Super Bowl.

Yeah I think for a Giants fan seeing Saquon win is way worse. It's like letting Tkachuck walk as a UFA and than winning the cup with the Oilers the next season.
The AJ Brown trade wouldn't look as bad had they made a better selection. More often than not the big name and big money wide receivers don't win Superbowls after being dealt and paid.
But Howie Roseman is a guy that other GM's should block. He pretty kills everyone in every trade he makes.

You could be a Sabres fan. I think everyone that's left has won a cup.

To put in perspective how terrible of a trade it was for the Titans, AJ Brown has more Superbowl appearances than Treylon Burks has TDs (2 vs 1).

Dominate game by the Eagles. I love my defense, always have so I was super happy to see that performance. The front four are the MVP's as they just manhandled that O-Line. Men against boys out there. Glad to see Graham play and contribute. He has been an amazing Eagle and if that is his last game what a way to go out.
The Eagles are also one of the youngest teams in the league and a lot of major pieces are locked up long term or still on rookie deals. They should be in the mix next year as well. Team is in good shape moving forward.

Cheered for Philly but next year will be different if they make the SB, except if it’s the Chiefs. I like underdogs and dislike multiple winners unless it’s my team.

I dunno... like the lead was bigger at the half, but the fact that the Broncos came out of halftime and the thinking was, "OK, maybe they can regroup here and get the next score and make a game out of this"... and then gave up a kickoff return touchdown immediately, it was just instantly and without a doubt game over. It's pretty close, is what I'm saying.

The Broncos didn't even get to 100 yards of offense in the first half against the Seahawks, and they still had four times as many yards as the Chiefs did at halftime. Broncos at least had two drives into scoring range in the first half against the Seahawks. The Chiefs didn't get past their own 40 until the second half. They didn't run a single play in the Eagles half until 43 minutes into the game. The Broncos at least somewhat did something in the first 43 minutes of their game, the Chiefs did absolutely jack####. It truly was as lopsided a game until garbage time as we'll see in any week, let alone the Super Bowl.

Using the "numbers/sales = quality" argument ends with the usual "Nickelback > 99.5% of bands" logic. I'll say what I said last night that it wasn't bad, but it wasn't all that memorable either. Would have been more fun if it was outright bad cause that is memorable at least.

what was supposedly so bad about it? I mean, I'm certainly not the target audience, neither in terms of age nor genre, so I honestly don't know. To me, it looked like par for the course.
automatic bonus points for Samuel L. Jackson though.

I don't listen to pop music so I couldn't tell you if last night's performance was bad or not because I don't have a point of reference. It sounded like he was at least singing live so props for that so was it just the songs picked or the dancers and show not exciting?
