Tell me about it. But I love my apartment and it's fairly cheap and it's got a great location. I can't complain too loudly. I could always take a mini grill into the parking lot.

Just by a BBQ and chain it somewhere to the outside of the building

I just realized I completely forgot to mention one of the side dishes from one of the BBQ experiments. I know how many of you are keeping score and thought I'd better include it in the interest of completeness.
Prosciutto wrapped cedar-planked Asparagus with melted Fontina cheese. Oh my. You take 3 or 4 stalks of quick-blanched Asparagus, a couple generous chunks of Fontina cheese, and wrap 'em with a slice of Prosciutto. Then onto the steaming Cedar Plank in the BBQ and wait for the cheese to melt, the Prosciutto to crisp just a bit, and for a small amount of caramelization on the Asparagus. Really REALLY yummy.

From the JackFM newsletter:
Recommended School Course!
Professor Paul Worsey of the University of Missouri-Rolla again conducted his Summer Explosives Camp, with 20 high-school-age kids learning the techniques of blowing things up like a tree stump, a watermelon, and a dead chicken. One camper said, "Some people like baseball but I just like to set off bombs."
Worsey's main goal is to recruit mine-engineering majors to his school, but another benefit, he told National Public Radio, is that the school "attracts the kids that might otherwise get into a little bit of trouble and gives them an opportunity for a career."
Why didn't they teach us this when we were in school?

Going back to bed. Having a nap. Any sort of sleep is really great.
