Former ‘Bachelor’ star Gia Allemand is in critical condition in a New Orleans hospital.

The few details available were released through her publicist's statement Tuesday:

“Gia Allemand was taken to University Hospital, New Orleans last night following a serious emergency medical event, the details of which are currently not known," the statement reads. "She is listed in critical condition."

"Ms. Allemand's mother is with her, along with her long-term boyfriend, NBA basketball player Ryan Anderson of the New Orleans Pelicans," the release continues. "On behalf of the family, we kindly ask for privacy at this time."

Allemand, 28, was on season 14 of “The Bachelor” featuring pilot Jake Pavelka.

She made it to the final three.

When his dream of buying the Sacramento Kings was shattered three months ago, Seattle investor Chris Hansen was gracious in defeat and offered Sacramento congratulations for keeping the team.

On Friday, he was unmasked as the mystery donor behind the signature-gathering effort to force a public vote on the Kings' proposed downtown arena - an effort that could derail the arena and jeopardize the team's future in Sacramento once again.

Amid a lawsuit and a state investigation, Hansen and an Orange County political action committee filed documents revealing Hansen contributed $100,000 to the petition drive on June 21 - a month after the NBA board of governors vetoed his plan to buy the Kings and move them to Seattle.

Speaking of scumbags...

NBA MVP LeBron James says he needed an assist to get to a Justin Timberlake and Jay Z concert Friday night.

The Miami Heat star posted a video of him saying he was following "a police escort on the wrong side of the street" to get to the concert at Sun Life Stadium. The eight-second video shows James' vehicle behind others with police lights flashing, as oncoming traffic on the three-lane side of the road allowed them to pass.

The video was posted to James' social media accounts. The Heat star also tweeted about the police escort.

Thank God those aren't my tax dollars at work. Naturally had some guy been doing that (driving on the wrong side of the road) trying to get his pregnant wife to the hospital he'd be in jail right now.

A healthy Rose is likely the best shot anybody has knocking off those diving losers in the East.

Anybody looking forward to the Lakers #### show where they are going to be a 12th-15th place team in the West? I know I'm looking forward to it.

Not really looking forward to the Lakers having one bad season, getting a high lottery pick in one of the strongest drafts in years, and then using their free agent allure and upcoming cap flexibility to do a totally successful one year rebuild. I'm hoping they're a 7-10 team in the West.

Well yeah, last thing you want is LeBron and Kobe and Dwyane Wade and Derrick Rose and Dwight Howard and probably himself and (many others) getting suspended for their HGH use. And the king of flopping wants flopping fines eliminated too? A lot of respect lost for Chris Paul on this one if true.

Paul edged out veteran shooter Roger Mason and others to take the position -- and NBA sources tell us the players went with CP3 because they feel he's got the cojones and the clout to effectively take on the league.

Sources tell us ... Paul is taking his new role very seriously -- and is already talking to players about his agenda, which includes:

-- Preparing a battle plan to fight any league proposal for HGH testing
-- Eliminating flopping fines
-- Forbidding any dress code additions/changes

I have to say the new CBA is doing the job. You don't see teams giving stupid deals like $100M for Rashard Lewis this offseason. Most deals are between $20M-$40M, 3yr-4yr.

The Heat signed Beasley for a non guaranteed $1M. Has there been a GM that's better at getting talent below market value? The current CBA that forces them to buyout or amnisty players seems to backfire buy allowing superteams like Miami to pick up good players on the cheap.

I don't think it has anything to do with his GM abilities, but rather the allure of Miami. I came back for the first time there a few weeks back, and let me tell you, nowhere in the world have I ever said a place was easy with woman, until I went there. Now I know why players wanna go there, and I'm sure the lazy Beasley has it in mind as well.
