Terrible goal on Gillies. For all the flack Lack took, none were as soft as either Gillies allowed. I have to imagine Lack starts next game.

Good on Backlund. Tell the refs they completely effed this up.
Even the Detroit commentators were baffled about the 5 min, and one of them was right there in the middle of that mess between the benches.

And now a two-man advantage--Refs don't care a guy comes back on the ice to scrap after attempting to injure someone, and yet they can't take a Flame muttering something? Witkowski can ragdoll linesmen and that's fine? This five minute penalty is just to make sure the Flames have a manpower disadvantage in case a full on brawl breaks out.
I remember when Detroit was a class organization--now they send out mouth-breather AHLers to try to injure guys when they've already won the game, and beat on a guy when he's down after a door swings open? Guess that appeals to the few fans actually in that rink in the middle of a pathetic semi-abandoned urban jungle that passes for that city. Hope they're now starting a 25-year no playoff streak.

I wouldn't call it ranting so much as pointing out what the GM has done. No mention at all of Gulutzan.
I've been posting these statements the entire season and last, though then it may have been on a more mature forum.
