Argos do the Stamps a BIG favor and look to hire Bob...errr I mean Jimbo Barker to COACH the team.

Must suck for Jimbo to be sloppy seconds. Why go from Senior VP to a coaching role...in Toronto?

Jim Barker is a lot better choice than anyone Argos put on their wish list. I think he will help the Argos and will definitely do a lot better recruiting than Adam Rita and company. He is a very professional team guy who never complained when he was demoted from General Manager job from the Stamps to Player Personnel.

In other news, looks like David Braley(who also the owner of BC Lions) will buy out the other two bozos from the Argonauts.

Also, Dave Dickenson is officially the new quarterbacks coach after the departure of offensive co-ordinator George Cortez to the Buffalo Bills. Hufnagel said he would add a running backs coach to his offensive staff, and while there is now (no) official co-ordinator, Dickenson will be the one calling plays.

Having the NFL not having a capped year it is making the CFL lose a lot of high end talent.

Doug Berry is the new OC in Saskatchewan, Barresi to Winnipeg as OC, and Reed to Winnipeg also as the DC.

Stamps sign Charleston Hughes to an extention. Big fan of this guy. He came back midway last year and took over right where he'd left off. Very nice signing imo.

awesome signing! I can't wait for Sandro's signing then a good punt returner hopefully. Calgary is signing their good players but they are losing some coaching and other personnel. Gone are Special Team Coach Craig Dickerson and Offensive Coordinator George Cortez. Director of Player personnel Jim Barker also left for Toronto.

In other news, Stamps signed John Murphy as Director of Football Operations. Toronto traded for DE Eric Taylor from Edmonton and sent Non-import receiver Andre Talbot. Edmonton also signed the Master of Collar Tackling Javy Glatt and BC signed the old man Davis Sanchez.

I'm not too excited about seeing Talbot in an Eskimos uniform. That guy always seemed to play well against Calgary when healthy.

Pittsbrugh has signed Renauld Williams, I expect to him play all four preseason games and then be cut one of the first ones cut in September.

Huffnagel has released a statement saying they can't reach a deal with Sandro - wishing him the best of luck. So he's done in the red and white.

Interesting for sure. Seems like sandro didn't know exactly what was happening and probablydidnt want to commit to the team at this time but huff can't wait forever. We would be in a bad spot if we waited a couple months and he signed somewhere else. that's what I think anyway. Good on huff and now let's go out there and find an even better kicker. And one with a better attitude to boot.

Or maybe it was just about money. Maybe sandro knows he's gonna be playing here, but wants a bigger cheque to go along with it and were not willing to pay him what he wants.

Yeah, Sandro's leg looked like it was in decline for distance the last couple years as far as length, especially last year.

Accuracy was always his strong suit, although that took a hit last year too. If he wanted what he was making before, or a raise, or a deal longer then 2 years (even 1, actually) worthwhile to pass.

I still say Sandro gets a look in the NFL.
