There is a better chance of Henderson - Silva. That I'd like to see.

I love GSP but there is no way he beats Silva if he is forced to move up a weight class.
If anything I could see a superfight where both fighters meet in the middle and then don't have to put there belts on the line.
As much as Dana White is pushing for Brock to be the poster boy of the UFC, I'm pretty sure Silva-GSP superfight, with or without belts on the line, would easily be the biggest PPV in UFC history, maybe even ever.
Also I think Silva already beat Henderson once.

Why should GSP move up a weight class to fight Silva? GSP could kick the sh.t out of him at his current weight.

Yep, just last year actually, at UFC 82. Maybe Ryo Chonan can pull this off again:

Dana White was on Rome today and mentioned that GSP will be out for a while as he has a groin tear. It was a good interview if anyone gets the chance to find a replay.

I'm assuming you know this cannot happen but I'll answer anyway.
GSP is a 170lb fighter and Silva is a 185lb fighter IIRC. Not only could they not fight while at different weights but it would be very difficult for GSP to move up a class and not get his ass handed to him.
More likely is that they will fight at 177 or something. Either way, much like Penn moving up to fight GSP, the fighter who moves up is almost always at a great disadvantage.

I have heard that the difference in size is even more drastic than that as GSP is a small-to-medium 170lb fighter and Silva is a large 185lb fighter. So while they both cut weight to get to those weights, Silva drops more than GSP.
GSP could cut below 170lb easier than Silva can cut below 185lb - 185lb is already a big drop for someone Silva's size.
The numbers I heard (and posted earlier) for non-cut weight for each is 184lb for GSP and no less than 215lb for Silva.
Fedor is arguably as close or closer in size (heavier frame obviously, but much shorter frame with less reach than Silva) to either fighter in size than they are to each other and no one I know of is suggesting a Fedor/Silva or Fedor/GSP fight.
Claeren.

Silva walks around at 220 and cuts to 205 and 185 for fights. Cutting to 177 means he has to drop nearly 50 pounds.

From what I've heard that sounds about right. Silva is a particularly lanky guy at 185 too.
I'd love to see that fight, I just don't see how it is really feasible. Good for UFC but bad for GSP.

For reference:
Name / Height / Reach / Weight
GSP: 5'10 / 76.0" / 170lb-185lb
Fedor: 6'0 / 74.0" / 220lb-235lb+
Silva: 6'2 / 77.6" / 185lb-225lb

Yeah I know, I was just saying GSP could kick the crap out of anyone, regardless of weight.
With his groin tear though he could be out for a significant amount of time to get back to health, then train/get heavier for a Silva fight.
I am in the camp that the fight will happe, but with the references to Silva's weight, maybe GSP has to move up to Middle, instead of meeting in the middle. Silva at 6'2", and under 185 would be pretty thin.

That's after the fight?? Wow, I'm surprised Bisping can even walk, let alone have a few beers at a party. He got rocked! He actually looks pretty good, considering what happened to him. I'm sure a little humbled though...

Silva is a bad match for GSP. GSP v Silva would be a boring fight, 3 or 5 rounds of GSP respecting Silvas KO power and Silva respecting GSPs takedowns.

Okay, who does that arm around Iggy's waist belong to?

Yea I heard he got rushed to the hospital for a CAT scan, must of been cleared by the doctors then went out to drown his sorrows. I thought he would of had a broken jaw.

GSP's blog titled "UFC 100 Notable Moments" that basically describes what he did from 2 weeks before the fight to the time he left Las Vegas.

Good read if you're a GSP fan.
