Apparently I am a master of motivation.
Tonight while coaching I discovered a new gem:
"Run faster, if I catch up with you I'm going to kick you square in the Nuts!"

Good thread idea!
I'm tempted to include things that I do a lot of--writing, teaching, scrabble, being a political wonk, arguing, taking faceoffs (a few of you may remember my thread about that) training dogs, etc.
But what I'm really good at is seeming to be good at things. This is what grad school really teaches you.

That reminds me of a middle-aged, overweight, heavy smoking gym teacher I had in high school. He made the same threat to a me and a buddy who weren't into running laps. We simply ran about 10 feet in front of him and after about 3 laps he had to stop and hack up a lung. That was the end of Mr. Gym Teacher running laps.
