D+ max...

i have no idea how people can watch a guy with his hands in his pockets and say it was amazing.. i know it's been documented a million times, but that guy's stage presence is like a mannequin.. BRUTAL.

sound was good and Noel was in top form but Liam stinks. he stood in the crease the whole game!!

I would say C+, but regardless certainly not as good as some people are saying it was....

As for their feelings of Calgary -- it has been windy/rainy the entire time they have been here, they have been on the road going from city to city for a while and living in faceless hotel after hotel so not sure that they really get some big idea of what the city has to offer?

What is he supposed to do? He's Liam Gallagher, not David Lee Roth. I think most people know what to expect with Oasis. Its about the tunes.

Claeren.
Did they insult Calgary or something?

That's actually the way they show affection.

He has always been like that. Ive actually never heard him give a compliment to any place he even plays. Infact, If you watch DVD's etc he hates the place where he lives also. He is kind of a depressing character sometimes. But the show was JUST lights out for me.

In order to properly enjoy an oasis show you have to really be into their music and there cocky act, which most oasis fans embrace and respect. They are the pioneers of music in MY generation, IMHO.

Meh..I wouldn't take it to heart. I would never expect a guy like Noel Gallagher to ever like a place like Calgary anyways. Its totally different from what he's used to.

Bah ha ha. That is funny. "Officially the middle of nowhere". Can't argue with that.

I'm kind of surprised to read all the "enthusiasm" for this band. I gave up on them after "Standing on the Shoulders of Giants" and I honestly thought they had given up as well.

6 out of 10 for me. I thought Ryan Adams was just ok. He is better than that! His set list was kinda lame and he could have amped it up a bit by picking better songs. Most the crowd was completely motionless the entire time both opening acts were up. That is the 1/2 of the crowd that was actually even there to see them.
Oasis were not as good as I was expecting. Liams voice was kinda shotty in spots and judging by how often he was reaching for water he likely was not at his best. He would skip certain parts of songs and I don't think it was by design? Anyways now that I have seen them once I won't need to see them again. Overall the music was sounded good and they played all the songs I wanted to hear but as mentioned they could be a little more lively and move around a bit more or at least pretend to enjoy themselves and embrace the crowd to some degree. Not exactly into PR those two....Whats the point of a concert where someone just stands up there and goes out of his way to not entertain the crowd. Video killed the radio star....

If there wasn't a fist fight between the brothers, I would demand my money back. I've always thought that those two arrogant twits were badly over rated.

Then you might have enjoyed the Toronto show more. I saw a quick clip of a fan running on stage and pushing Noel Gallagher. Security quickly carried him away. What an idiot!

Here is a good article on how to punch Oasis in the face from Cracked. The vid is also there of the shoving incident.
