Just reading the last few comments on here I thought i'd chime in. Everyone knows that I am a Colt fan, and in turn the biggest NE hater! Belichek, Harrison, Welker etc belong in "that group". Tom Brady absolutely does not. Not only is the guy an amazing athlete, but he's an amazing individual as well. Probably the only Patriot who I can respect. He's a very classy guy (told a story yesterday how he was the only QB to call Peyton last year before the Superbowl and offer plays/help to him. They chatted for 30 minutes and Peyton said in a interview he really appreciated the call).

On the contrary to whoever said Peyton is a spoiled brat is BS. He's if not the hardest working NFL'er, definately one of the hardest. He's consistently thinking how to make himself better, watch film everyday, the last one to leave practice to study gameday, etc. The guy is all about making himself and his teammates better. All his teammates respect him and have (except Vanderjagt but even guys like Dungy/Harrison said Vanderjagt was a distraction to the team). I think both fanbases are off with the comments "Brady is a piece of crap and Peyton is a spoiled brat". GO COLTS! Can't wait for playoffs!

All this guy has done since coming into the league is be a great player, teammate, leader and professional. He has put up great numbers and a ton of wins despite often not having any help from his O-Line or defense. He is without doubt a top 5 QB of all time and is a great guy as well. It makes no sense at all that he gets as much hate, and BS, as he does. I guess that is the price of being the best.

As for the dad argument not sure why that is relevant other than as another way to take a cheap shot at Peyton Manning.
I think there's a certain "idiot kicker" that would disagree.

listening to the Opening Drive on Sirius NFL Radio this morning. The discussion was on Belichek being voted Coach of the year. Shannon Sharp argued that the AP would not vote for Shawn Meriman for Defensive Player of the Year last season. Because he had been caught cheating (suspended for steroids) even though he lead the league in sacks. Belichek was fined for cheating this season and was the unanimous choice as Coach of the Year. Why does one person get passed over for cheating while another one doesn't?

Well, I'm sure someone is going to suggest race but that's not it. To me it's the degree of cheating. Look people cheat all the time, if a pitcher was caught throwing a spitball or something like that, should he be punished?? sure...but steroids, that's all encompassing.

Also, if Belichek had gone 15-1 he wouldn't have won it, his team was perfect, therefore he was the choice. If Merriman was the OVERWHELMING favorite, or did something that happens once every 40 years from his position, then MAYBE people would overlook it.
