The pocket rooster it is.
The first few weeks they harped on the contestants about stage presence - that is one thing Lucas has in spades, even if he can't enunciate to save his life (but then again, neither can Dylan).
He was one of the few that had the look that they wanted. I still think Magni was the best, but Lucas was the best suited for this band.

I'll buy the album because he won, the other three I wasn't so sure about if Dilana won there was no chance in hell I would buy the album, Magni and Tobi I would have had to hear the album first.
I think the best person for the band won but in terms of Lukas's career it may have been better if he didn't win but we'll see how it goes.

Lukas deserved to win it.
Magni would have been a great choice too, but Lukas seems to fit in best with the band.

So predictable and so pathetic. That guy is the biggest poseur I have ever heard or seen. Oh well, they'll do a tour, release an album and then fold up the group within 10 months.

I thought he was the right choice...not the best 'singer' maybe, but it'll suit them.

Have you heard any of his music pre-supernova? I'm guessing not because everything he has done has been basically the style he is showing now, I do agree with you that the group will fold in 10 months it was the one reason I was hoping that Dilana won so when the band went to hell she'd be out on her own, while Lukas, Tobi, and Magni could carry on with what are probably going to be successfull carreer's.
I'll even do a bit of example for you here's a few links of his show's pre-supernova besides a different hair style it's basically the same vocal style, same music style and basically the same lukas that was on the show.

Well even if it only lasts 10 months he'll probably earn more money in those 10 months than I will in the next 50 years...So I'm a bit reluctant to call him a loser.

GravityKiller, you're completely correct. The guy has always been a ######, he just turned it up to vomit inducing levels for the TV show.

I don't know why everyone is harshing this show. I mean, yeah, it might be a cash grab but who cares? What isn't a cash grab? People spend sometimes hundreds of dollars for a ticket to a concert, that's a cash grab, so are tickets for a hockey game. Does that mean just because people enjoy it and they can make money off of it, that's it's not legit? It's the nature of the beast, basic supply and demand. People want to make money and good for whoever thought up this one.
I do not watch reality t.v., I dispise American/Canadian Idol, Big Brother is so boring, Survivor is the same thing year after year, my favourite channels are IFC and the documentary channel. But for some reason I find Rockstar addicting as hell. What's wrong with auditioning for the lead singer of your band and getting the entire world to vote on who they like? It's probably a pretty thorough way of ensuring that you pick the right person for the job. I mean, they have to perform for a live audience and it's televised all over the planet. You get to see how they react in a real-life setting, it's the best audition you can provide in that scenerio.
Plus, the music is usually pretty decent, except I agree with that Ryan Star song... what a crappy song! If that guy can get a record deal, anyone can!

I just like the fact that Canadians have won both rounds of Rockstar so far. Shows the world who's the best at it. Booyah.

I guess that's your opinion and if he isn't your type of vocalist that's fine, if you prefer Axel Rose have at'er I hear Chinese Democracy in supposed to be released sometime is 2015. He obviously did enough to win and by the end of next year will probably be rather rich and we'll still be here arguing about hockey and complaing about why NHL'08 sucks so much so I'm not going to argue about this anymore.

I don't think Gilby was convinced until they started doing song writing clinics and Lukas really started to change things up to suit his voice and style. The last few weeks he completely had Gilby and as soon as Gilby said "when you perform you inspire me" a couple weeks back Lukas had it in the bag.
As for the whole marble mouth thing...much of the stuff on youtube is easily understood and it has lousy sound and last night on all three songs (his cover and the two Supernova crap songs) he was easily understandable. That won't be a problem. The problem won't stem from teh singer at all no matter if they picked someone else...it'll stem from the fact that the songs thus far range from average to terrible.

I found the songs grew on me as they played them more, hopefully with Lukas who by all accounts is a capable song writer they will have something better when the album comes out.
