lots of stupid people, lots of sleeping people, lots of lazy people, lots of content people all vs a few overzealous fanatics seems like the simplest answer to me.
if the government were involved there is no way the plan would have worked. thats the clincher for me.

Exactly.
I heard a couple people talk today talk about how the intelligence/military community was very ill-prepared for the threat of terrorism pre 9/11.
But take it from Lanny that British Intelligence is wrong, and he is right.

All you need is a "story" from some "authority figure" for it to become "truth". Well, you have that. Bush has said that the "evil doers" perpetrated the act and that they acted alone. Good enough for you! Sorry, not good enough for me. I remain a skeptic, and the number of people that share those views are growing each day.

Not sure what your opinion on 9/11 is, but is this true: TRAN99 actually supports ID has an explanation of how the world was created.
That does surprise me. Seriously. Clearly he is more conservative than I, and views the world through black and white lenses, but that truly does astound me. Wow.

Lots of people support ID as a theory for how the world was created. Nothing wrong with that.
The problem exists in actually "teaching" ID in a science classroom. Since it isn't actually science....

LOL!!!
A quick word of advice....this M.O. of Lanny's is old and disproven a million times. It's just water off my back by now.
No matter what he makes up and touts as fact, doesn't make it so.
No, Im not a believer in ID only, and I am affiliated with no specific religion whatsoever.

I'm not into conspiracy theories but I can see how outstanding coincidences fuel the fire. For instance, 11 countries warned the US about an attack, the lack of movement from Andrews despite fighters being engaged 67 times in 2001 for even minor incidents, WTC 7's "controlled collapse", thermalite, how people with first hand knowledge of the evacuations of upper floors of WTC personnel prior to 9/11 for engineers and maintenance workers were not allowed to testify at the 9/11 commission, that Bush's brother owned the company in charge of security of the WTC, the war on Iraq already being planned, the destruction of air-traffic controller recordings with the hijacked planes, etc., etc. This pseudo-proof all provides momentum to the possibility of an inside job.
Personally, I'd still really like to know what was the delay in scrambling the fighters.
