What big mistakes has Conroy made that he's tried to minimize with bold decisions?

(Incidentally, I think you've got the wrong songbook. The standard refrain is supposed to be that the Flames are in this mess because for 35 years they've been too chicken to make bold decisions and always aimed for the ‘mushy middle’ on purpose.)

I was looking at some of our stats earlier. Our actual goals-for is waaaaay below our expected goals-for, and our goals-against is only a touch below our expected.

Very elementary extrapolation, but basically we need up-front skill in a big way. (Something I imagine nobody is surprised by.)
