Snakebit team, they missed some grade a chances.
Not sure how you fix that - it is so widespread. They'll have to play their way out. Answer is in the room, etc.

Gridin was the answer. Then they sent him away.
Excellent management if a top pick is the goal.
If it wasn't.... oof.

Not going to lie, was really hoping this brain dead months long offseason “they should have just ordered Kadri to give up his contractual rights” fantasy would have stayed in the offseason. Might as well just order Huberdeau to shave 4 million off his salary.

This is true. Everybody was whining about the tough schedule
It turned out pretty rough, as was apparently expected … and a bit of bad luck luck has tilted a game or two - why are so many people surprised?
Unfortunately they are better than the results to date have shown, what flavour of hand wringing do we get in the next couple of months?

Flames will be eliminated from contention before the Blue Jays are this year. That's a new accomplishment, at least.

I'm starting to wonder how long Huska lasts. Not calling for it, I'm indifferent at this time. But more guessing how ownership and management will react to this situation.

We do like to fire coaches just after re-signing them.

The hyperbole and negativity on here is amazing. But the team does not look good, and so far, the new systems do not look good. I’m questioning whether overhauling all of the systems was a wise choice when everyone knew what a gauntlet the first month of the season was going to be. It probably would have been better to stick with what worked last season. I’m starting to question Huska’s decisions. Unless tanking is secretly the goal.
At least Team Tank should be happy. But don’t be expecting McKenna, the Flames have dropped more places in the draft lottery than any other team, and their best ever draft lottery result was to not move down.

My comments
- great game. Competitive. Entertaining. Stay in last place. Perfect
- this version of the Flames is still on pace to be the worst scoring team ever at 140 goals.
- Parekh needs to gain 20 lbs. He gets knocked around alot. Good to see everyone stand up for him after the one hit.
- lines looked better. Hope the reunite Coronato with the top line. Farabee might never score another goal.
- 4th line is doing their job. It would be fun if Pospisil gets added to it.

Keep it up and I think by the end of the month, you can pretty much rule out their chances of making the playoffs. I expected a drop in performance and points this season BUT not this

I expect that Huska will be given a chance to work out the teams lack of offence and play overall.

They are getting closer to having to win 2 out of 3 to get to 96 points.
Which will never happen.
