I’ve been to Edmonton 3 times in 42 years and I have no interest in ever seeing it again. I was never an oilers fan even when I was growing up in grand prairie.

Pretty solid game by Kadri, on pace for 28 goals and 60 points now. The Frost line looked good as well. Will be interesting to see where they put Zary when he comes back.

I think the Flames definitely improved with the Flyers trade, and yet, as a group they don't look much improved at all.

It's like they're pre-destined to land in 17th-20th place.

Yes, because they never tanked to get game breaking talent. They are in the next tier though.

But like many have said, it is impossible to win in this league without tanking. But our goalie is too good for us to tank. So we will be mediocre forever it seems.

Yeah the first goal was a hospital pass from backs behind the net that didn’t even make it half the way to solo.

Farabee isn’t that big. Leslie looks bigger.

Yeah sorry. That’s the play I meant.

Is it? With 1 win in the last 6 games for Wolf he hasn't stolen enough games for them recently. He keeps them in the game but he isn't winning them.

Well none of Tampa’s game breaking forwards in either Stanley Cup run came as a result of tanking so they can maybe be a glimmer of hope for us. Same with St. Louis before them.

Even though many have said it, that doesn’t make it true
Except if you are using a very liberal definition of the word tanking

I like where your mind is!

Just make them the 3rd pairing full time when Bahl is back and be done with it.

Kadri shows up every game. Wish all the flames followed his lead.

They did at the start of the season but have been losing it lately.

Odd reaction to winning a trade and getting some help.

Realistically, the Flames have lost the chemistry edge they had up until that trade. Even though it was a clear win in terms of talent, it's disrupted things and the team cannot play at even 90%.

I see a fast and sharp fall from here on out. The rest of the schedule is hard and the teams will be playing hard.

Watch the Seravalli interview. People worried he's going to go waste assets on rentals shouldn't be. He said he doesn't see bringing in someone for a few months "in the cards".

I think losing Zary and even moreso Bahl was the tipping point.

No one filling in Bahl’s minutes and Zary is one of our few drivers on forward.
