If it's Duclair and a 3rd or any picks in the future, I'd rather keep Hanifin and sell him at the deadline no matter where we are in the standings.

I think Loustarinen as a part of the package is a lot more likely than Lundell.

Yes. They have more Cs than they need and not enough D. Calgary is strong on D and, with Backlund and/or Lindholm gone, in need of a C. It's a strength for strength trade. Also Florida thinks they are knocking on the door, with good reason and a veteran is what they need over a developing guy.

Hanifin >>> Duclair though. We've seen multiple wingers get dumped for cheap. I think a 3rd is realistic basis the other trades. Career high of 58 points and hasn't played a full season in his career

Huberdeau gets what Huberdeau wants, or the Flames want to help Huberdeau succeed.

The Jets just got two former first round picks, one who just put up 41 points in 63 games, plus a 3rd liner who is a consistent 35-45 point guy and a 4th round pick for a 25 year old center who has a career high 63 point season.
The market for a 26 year old dman who has averaged 43 points a year over the past two seasons playing on the second PP unit should be significantly more than a 28 year old Duclair as the centrepiece.

At least get Denisenko and Luostorainen then. Double up on young players with big upside.
But damn, I really don't want to deal with FLA

Two thoughts:
Could Coleman realistically service the same role that Duclair is supposed to fill. I get the Huby - Duclair connection but don't he and Coleman play similar roles?
Also, I wonder about Barkov. He has now become #2 on that team very, very quickly behind Tkachuk. He doesn't strike me as an ego guy, but perhaps it's a bit bruised and we could pry him out of there.
Barkov for Hanifin + 2nd?

given the state of the winger market, I think it's ludicrous to suggest that he's worth any more than that — particularly after he missed most of last season with an injury
I almost wonder if the Flames deal Hanifin somewhere else and then circle back to Florida and flip a 3rd or 4th for Duclair.

I think Huberdeau wants the most competitive team. He already has his money. Crappy returns make that harder

It’s gonna be Hanifin for Duclair, Luostarinen and a 3rd isn’t it?

No more quantity for quality.
The best or we hold and will wait to sell. Hold composure and if it doesn't involve a first round pick in the next hours draft there is absolutely no rush. No way these players have a worse season than last. And there is a F*** you part to these offers as well.

Florida should be gifting Duclair lol. He basically has no value after last season. He's worth a late round pick (if that). It'll be a sad few days if he's the "big add" for all potential returns of our big name players going into the weekend.

I can live with that actually, but I have been watching the Panthers quite a bit(after Tkachuk left) and I'm a fan of both of those players.
