Basically all my beer league goals are "close eyes, shoot hard". Any time I try to calculate what I'm doing, it's a routine save by the goalie.

That is the one concern I have. It doesn’t matter if the Flames can outplay the other teams and not have adequate goaltending. The fact of the matter is, the goalies are a major part of the team. The Jets have Helly. If this years Flames miss, chalk it up as that was one area the team was lacking and lost as a result.
Just like in the past other fans would say the Flames only won due to Kipper, even then, that was fine, as the goalie is a part of the overall team make up. Just like our two tendies are a part of this one. Successful teams carry play and have average to great goaltending. Mediocre to bubble teams always have one at least one aspect missing, whether it’s a number one centre, dman or a goalie.
