Covering a specific team and outwardly showing support for another is a different thing IMO .., sorry ... every time I see her that’s the first thing that comes to mind .. watching Flames TV is something I do for entertainment, and looking at her Oiler loving face specifically covering my team is irritation not entertainment ... call me small , call me petty .. that’s the way it is for me ..

Like I said, I don’t even watch Flames TV so I’m not invested. But I don’t think she needs to scrub her social feeds to remove old Oilers stuff. We all know she’s a fan of Alberta’s worst team. I’m sure she’ll be fine in the new role. I’m beating a dead horse now and will stop.

This really isn’t a big deal. Brendan Parker does most of the Flames TV content anyways. Alanna was merely his backup and did mostly Stamps content IIRC, you probably won’t see Natasha much either.

Or create a Twitter list of only Flames fans.
I think Alanna did more “pre-game” stuff for the Flames; she was more active with the Stampeders as she was the primary media person who did interviews and features for the team.

I also wanted to give some props to Brendan Parker — I think he’s done an excellent job since he started doing “FlamesTV” a few years back. He seems like he has a good rapport with the players and I think it results in some really good interviews and content.

Derek Wills grew up an Oilers fan, but he's a professional so he never went on social media broadcasting his fandom because he realizes it isn’t professional and limits his employment options.

When it’s a job, you stop being a fan of a team, you cheer for the sport and the players, because… it’s the job you chose. Some people can remain fans and professionally park their fandom. Job #1 is avoiding social media.

When this doesn’t happen it makes professionals look like the clowning jokers in the Edmonton media.

Obviously the Flames are willing to overlook this, but going from TSN to hosting Flames TV is not a promotion.

I've never heard her speak and thought… “hmmm… that is a good question or interesting observation.”, I also doubt that I ever will.
I guarantee that you won't. Because your mind is already closed to the idea.

Absolutely hilarious that some folks here are triggered by the Flames hiring an Oilers fan. I echo the thoughts above about the free entertainment. Thanks haha!

Edit: I'm absolutely laughing at this image in my head.

A few flames fans browsing Natasha's Twitter feed (cos they be horndawgs... It's ok I get it) and then see Oilers gear and have the rest of their day absolutely ruined.

It must be pretty difficult for some Flames fans to have cheered for Iggy or have this season's performance sullied by the contributions of players like Gaudreau and Tkachuck (who grew up cheering for other teams) to the success of the team.

Unless, of course, these employment rules about only apply to employees of CSEC that have no bearing on the on-ice performance of the team.

Oh, and, HELL YEAH I'm swiping right on her even though she roots for the no-goods!
