Ray had a bit of a struggle to start the game today, but one mound visit and he settled down. Stuck out 6. I think if our pitching holds well this year Ray and Matz are big parts of it.

Rays stuff is so amazing. He was hitting 98 mph today with the fastball.
6 of 7 outs were Ks lol

The Blue Jays have claimed right-hander Joel Payamps off waivers from the Red Sox two weeks after Boston claimed him from Toronto.
As a corresponding move to make room on the 40-man roster, righty Jacob Waguespack has been designated for assignment.

Looks like starting today the Blue Jays are streaming their Spring Training games. There's no audio though and games that are broadcasted on Sportsnet won't be live.

The effort involved would be near zero and you could even run ads during the inning breaks.

I could be wrong on this but this looks like an MLB decision to broadcast the games and not a Rogers decision. I know Shapiro was disappointed with Sportsnet not broadcasting many games so maybe he spoke with MLB to get them to broadcast games. Anyways we have live baseball so I am happy but I am hesitant to give Rogers/Sportsnet any kudos. .
Edit: realized you were simply just referencing your earlier post about pointing two cameras on the field. Don't know how I missed that.

I rather have sound with no video, then video with no sound. Sound I can know what is going on while working, just video makes it harder.

Yates gave up two singles to start his inning, one of them a blooper, then got a DP and a ground out to end the inning. Good outing for him to start off with.
Mayza also had a good clean inning, fanning 2. He's looked good so far.

Could the Jays be making it any harder to access their games? Since today is a TV game, there is no option on the app or mlb.tv to just listen to audio.
This is madness!
EDIT: Seems like the TV feed is the Pittsburg broadcast? So that's why there is no audio? Either way, the lack of easily accessible audio is a HUGE miss so far this year

Yeah it's been frustrating. At least today I can sit down and watch a bit of ball, even if it is the Pirates crew. Better than nothing I guess.

Ray with another good outing today. He and Matz have looked solid so far, heck so has Roark to be honest.
Just spring training though, but still good to see. Better than them walking tons of batters and getting rocked in every outing.

Heh. After Ray struck out three batters in 4 scoreless innings, the Jays bullpen literally destroyed the OriLOLes
Liriano, Dolis, Romano and Borucki combined to strike out 10 over the next 4 innings, giving up just 1 hit and two walks.
Nasty stuff

Manoah pitched 3 scoreless today against the Yankees. 0 walks, 0 hits, 0 base runners and 7(!) Ks. Holy crap.
SWR also pitched 3 scoreless, 2 hits, 0 walks, 3 Ks.
The Jays have a LOT of swing and miss pitching up and down through their system.

Was that game televised today? Man what a great line up of pitching. That line from Manoah is crazy.
Looks like Van Eyk got touched up a bit. But still pretty cool to have Manoah, SWR and Kloffenstein playing in one game.

Not televised, but I believe the Jays are streaming on their site from a camera behind home plate.
Van Eyk has decent stuff, but lacks command. He walked 3 batters in his inning, gave up a couple hits and never recorded an out.
Starting to get very excited about Manoah in particular. The man is a beast, has a very good fastball and slider combo. If he adds a 3rd good pitch he might be a MLB rotation option as early as this season.
