Now, that's funny. Air guitar is also verboten, I'm sure. Sorry to weigh in on the great cooler debate this late in the game, but I just have to give my two cents. I am primarily a beer man, and I love ales with a little bite.........I can't stand the so-called "smooth" stuff that has no flavor, such as Heineken. That being said, any beer is better than a cooler. My wife partakes of the odd cooler, and I've had the occasional sip, but I'd rather plant my tongue on a nine-volt battery.

Welcome back, Jordon.

I have had the occasional cooler, even enjoyed it, usually on a hot day. The truth is I will drink just about anything. There are usually coolers kicking around in the fridge, as that the preference of the wife. I can't drink a lot of coolers though, too hard on the heart burn, and what a headache when the cheap buzz disappears.

Judging people on what they drink though, even if it is Jordan, is pretty lame in my opinion though, and GreenTeaFrappe should bow out of the discussion while he/she? is ahead.

My favorite drink is Ciclone: Amber rum with a touch of tequila. Very dangerous stuff, it goes down way too fast, and interferes with my very novice understanding of poker on poker nights.

ehhh everyone is so worked up on this cooler thing. I used to find it handy to keep a cooler in the fridge for certain reasons

example: Come home from the bar with newly aquainted lady friend. She comes in for a "drink" . You have to actually offer her a drink so what are you gonna offer her, the good ol' colt 45, shot of whiskey or how about that cooler you've been saving for just such occassion

Why would you not be able to offer her whiskey? I would be slightly miffed if a guy asked if i wanted a drink and he offered me a cooler.

CICLONE!!!! I love that stuff, I drink rum for a social drink, get a buzz but have stopped drinking it to get drunk as I get the rum crazies. But with Ciclone, I grow horns, and get a devilsh little grin, and apparently say "he he he" really evilily alot.

As for the great cooler debate.

Yes I've had them, I'm not a big fan, too much sugar. With Smirnoff Ice I could barely chew for two weeks, my teeth hurt that much (last time I've had a cooler). I've had Mike's Hard Lemonade, mixed it with a bunch of other stuff and haven't had it since I was 19.

All in all I'm curious to try adding more alcohol to dilute the sugar factor in coolers. Over the Christmas break I'll give it a try and document it for the good people of Calgary Puck

I think for the most part people get on Jordan for drinking coolers and other things because he over reacts to things so much. You can't even mention the word cooler without Jordan taking it as a personal insult.

You want to drink coolers fine, you want to leave the board and post a whole sob story as to why only to return a month later fine, you want to keep people updated on the hourly status of your season ticket delivery fine, people are going to make jokes for stuff like that and if you keep freaking out, that just makes it more funny, and people will bug you more.

I ask a logical question, somewhat tonge in cheek, about where the coolers came from and he takes great offece to this. Had the response been "Your mom left them there" it at least would have shown a sense of humor, but him taking offence to it is pretty funny to me.

People with a good sense of humor = fun to joke about, cause they'll generally have a good response and you can both have a good laugh

People that don't get it and freak out = fun to joke about, cause at least I'll have a good laugh while he freaks out about things he claims he doesn't care about.

Does that make me a jerk? Sometimes maybe, but at least I don't let cooler jokes get under my skin.

Dare I say ......

BEST IDEA EVER

I'm gonna do it, in a few weeks, I'll get some buddies to take pictures and video - I'll rank all the coolers I can get a hold of. You guys sort out how to do the fundraising aspect.

The moral of this story is:

Don't listen to her, just buy enough beer for 3 days for both of you.

When I was in Scotland a few years back they had a drink called WCKD, an alcoholic version of their popular Iron Brew beverage. Its that a cooler? If so then mark me down for a pile. I even have a couple guys that bring me a few bottles back when they come from across the pond.

ok I am not sure I wanted this to mutate into what it's become. Welcome back Jordon, and let's not everyone discuss the cooler thing.

I personally don't drink beer or coolers... so what does that make me? It's not a big deal. The guy has some good points to make about the Flames sometimes.

I don't drink coolers, I like the more masculine drinks, but then I also like to overcompensate for my scrawny arms and sexual inadequacy
Sometimes I flex in front of the mirror with the lights dimmed, standing at just the right angle so that my pecs look huge
Other times when I drive past hot girls I turn my music way up so they'll look at me, and then I pretend like I don't even notice them. All of this while driving my mom's Saturn

Welcome back Jordan,

I dont see why we need to bash him.
Who cares about the drinks you have. I could care less if someone has a cooler or a beer. Drinks dont really give you a good reason to bash someone, But this is just my 2 cents
