Why an I even a fan I cheer for the Flames. The crest on the front since 1980 u putz. I have been a STH since 2002. Seen more games and playoff games then u will ever have in your entire life yappy. I don't cheer like some monkey for some joker of a coach that is a waste of space behind the bench. They could put a suit on a mannniquin and it would be just as effective.
Cheering for a HC is irrelevant to what degree a fan is.

Meh, agree to disagree. Heck the coach has said they are basically as loosy goosy as last year, so I do not agree that any fundamentals are there. Outside of goaltending and special teams, this is a replica of the crap team we say last year to start.
Not only my opinion, but the coach's too.

I love their play when firing on all cylinders, but personally I also miss the emotional inspiration, both highs and lows, of the Hartley era Flames.

Yeah Gully doesn’t do emotion. Like not even a little bit. And they say a team takes on the personality of its coach after all...

If we can tread water until mid-November, when they usually start to show up consistently, we’ll be alright. Still super frustrating to lose this one though. Lots of pucks in skates, no finish and a few key defensive breakdowns. On to the next one.

Jagr has ridiculous built legs. Easy to see how he has lasted beyond normal athletes.

You could have made this argument last year and you would have been right. Not this year. Other than a couple of guys, this is pretty much the same team. And those new guys aren't the problem. We had a fluke 10-game run last year. Before and after we were mediocre. We were swept in the playoffs.
When Gulutzan decides to play guys on merit, the team will improve. For instance, at this point, Bennett should be scratched. Give somebody from the farm a chance.

I don't know about that, but he's 45 years old.
There are limits to what he is physically capable of.
Coming onto this roster and immediately securing a role in the top six is both a testament to his ability and an indictment of the Flames scoring depth.
He looks like he's trying hard out there, but losing a 45 year old guy to injury after the 1st period shouldn't be a crippling loss to your offense, and yet for the Flames, it was.
The Flames needed to convert on those early opportunities in the 1st but they couldn't. 1 for 6 on the powerplay.
Now 28th in the league in GF/PG.
Something's gotta give.
Ha, you're talking about afterhours. I wouldn't want to be there either.

I guess the 50 goal pace that Monny is on isn't considered offence?

They're becoming a road team since gulutzan came in. Don't like how many points they're bleeding at home especially in pretty winnable games since GG stepped in.
Should be pushing .700 hockey at home if you're a bonafide playoff team.

Star player turns the puck over in the neutral zone late in a tie game...in a game in which his team has been the better squad... but there is far more criticism of the coach
Mistakes like that from your best players are inexcusable. Yet 13 pretty much escapes criticism

If we can move Bennett to the Wing, don't let Stajan/Glass coming back in and have Janko up....we will be much better

Finally some one notices his home record is a joke. Your home is your base your identity. If Gulutzen was raking leaves at his house the leaves would best him. His wife would say did u rake the leaves and he would shrug his shoulders and go have a nap.

We witnessed it last year, no season is won or lost in October.
Still so much time to turn this around.
