Oh, look. The Oilers scored on a power play awarded for a dive by McDentist.

Oilers using up their horseshoes on this game. How many posts did Vancouver hit, and then they get a PP because McDavid can't stay on his feet.
A half decent team would've eviscerated the Oilers tonight.

They aren't
They are a very lazy team the last month in the defensive zone especially outside a few guys

And the Ducks lead 2-1 in the 3rd. Another horrendous night on the OOT. At least Nashville lost, so that's something I guess.

If san jose loses a few here, there going to be back in the thick of things...any of the four teams might finish top of the division!

The only good thing I can take from this game is that the Canucks are going to be quite bad for the foreseeable future.
Man - They sure could use a guy like Tkachuk !

Wow. This is so patently false . The Canucks are on the same level with Colorado if not for a combination of great compete level and excellent goaltending.
Vancouver is no good, and they will not be for a long, long time.

Sure, but I was really looking forward to possibly leap-frogging the Ducks in the standings tomorrow. I hate that team almost as much as I hate the Oilers.

a) Edmonton is terrible when McDavid is not on the ice. Maybe his back will break from carrying so many corpses. If I'm playing him in the playoffs, I'm leaning on him as much as possible and plugging the neutral zone as much as possible so he can get his feet moving. I'm also taking as many liberties as I can get away with.
b) McDavid is an embarrassing level diver, but the NHL will never call out the golden boy. The Oilers get an easy schedule this year, and they seem to get a lot of favorable calls. This is why I think this team is a one hit wonder and unsustainable next year if they don't get the handicapped special from league.

Hope for losses now so we get more wins in the future.
I'm not actually cheering for them to lose it's just reality that the Canucks are "No Good" and getting a higher draft pick will hopefully help the Canucks in the future.

Yep I'm leaning to abandon the OOT and follow the snek.
Besides if the Oilers can barely beat the Nucks with their third string goalie in I'm not too worried about them.

Not false, they don't try any harder than any other night team
They play close games because Willie only coaches to low event hockey, there's a misconception that losing by 1 means you tried harder than losing by 3. It means you didn't take any chances
I'll just say the majority of Canucks fans would say and even writers have pointed out how the team has basically quit on the coach again in the last quarter of the season for the 2nd straight year
Willie might be a decent coach with a team in win now mode, but his development, his special teams, and his deployment are not good for this team.
Yes they are bad right now, they badly need a top 2 pick in this draft and then maybe they are back to being a team playing to make the playoffs in 2019

Not actually cheering just hoping haha.
Considering the Nucks recent draft history missing out on Ehlers and Tkachuk is a higher draft pick even going to help?

I hadn't seen a ton of nurse this year but he was their great defensive hope and he's just not good
