I'm not feeling hopeful. Usually if the abducted child is still missing after three hours the odds on survival are long.

I wonder if those people from the dairy queen ever connected with the police. surely if they knew sara they would be aware of what is going on.

it also dawned on me for the first time that most news outlets in the city seem to be reporting that sara was a single mother raising her daughter on her own - but yet the father statement indicated that the daughter was his world (or something to that effect).

I am hoping it is progress that they have someone in custody.

My fb 'on this day' feature for today held an assortment of memories - and the news of the cancellation of Nathan O'Brien's Amber Alert. I really really really hope it's a completely different outcome that leads to the cancellation of Taliyah's Amber Alert.

one would just hope that if the person the police have in custody knows anything, that he would just help end this for everyone - but that being said, who knows what state of mind the person is in or if they have any knowledge of anything

Is there another golf course in Chestermere that isn't Lakeside? Because Lakeside is surrounded by residential neighborhoods. Are they searching houses out there?

I don't know why but I still think she's alive. Witnesses reporting she had a suitcase shows the perp was intending to take care of her...unless all the media coverage scared him into doing something stupid.

Really hope there's a happy ending to this story.

Outside Chestemere that makes no sense, Heatherglen is the closest to Chestemere that I know of but that's far closer to Calgary.

I also had that same feeling calgaryblood, but hearing they are searching somewhere rural has red flags all over it. I'm not one to pray, but I'm praying to God that she is found safe and sound.
