Reimer and you give up nothing.

The Flames finished 26th. They can't give away that many assets for a goalie who might walk away in a year.

Actual Lightning beat writer confirming this is likely nothing:
Erik Erlendsson @Erik_Erlendsson
McKenzie saying Calgary would likely reach out to TB is educated speculation, doesn't equate to rumor at this point

this is exciting but also think it's B.S.
The guy is a vezina candidate this year. You don't get a top3 player at his position, almost regardless of contract, expansion, type factors, for less than a 1st round pick ++.
Still, i think the MAF news this am regarding the asking price is a rumour of where the negotiations are starting from on the pens side of the table, and any smoke on the bishop front should help create some negotiating power for the flames.

I'd do 6th overall, one of Bennett or Monahan, a prospect like Poirier or Anderson, and all three 2nds, but anything more than that would be unreasonable!

Deal in the works for Ben Bishop?
I'm sure this is going to end up like the Dougie trade. All these smokescreens and we end up with Andrei Vasilevskiy....at least I hope.

I take Reimer and keep all the picks.
If they trade the farm for Bishop and take us out of the running for trading for the 3rd OA, I won't be impressed.

Deal between CGY/TBL in the limbo due to Bishop's NMC, might not wave it for the Flames.

I do the 35, another 2nd and backlund plus some tier 2 throw ins for Bishop if he agreed to sign a 6 million per 5-6 yr deal.
That's seem like a reasonable acquisition cost and wed still have a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in the draft this year to restock the cupboards and Backlund needs to be replaced as his Salary won't fit after next year.

Maybe they like some of our prospects. I'd give up any of the ones that haven't made the NHL yet to make this happen without giving up this year's first.

Isn't this that "HockeyyInsiderr" twitter account that was proven to be a 14 year old kid 3 years ago?
Literally a fake rumour generator.

A guy I work with just said he doesn't think this will get done because Bishop "can only move diagonally and that's not good for goalies."
To be fair he's an American football fan in Denver who doesn't watch hockey but he's just as believable as this rumour break fellow. Sorry guys but it sounds like the deal's off.

Keep in mind: Bishop does not need to be protected for '17 expansion draft since his deal expires. #tblightning don't have to trade him.

i feel it should be a rule that any twitter rumour where the person isn't a "verified account" should be ignored...
this guy has like 160 followers. if he had any kind of sources, you'd think he'd have some kind of following.
excitement level down 98% until something more noteworthy comes out from a reputable hockey person

I don't move that 6oa for anything short of a young cost controlled starting goalie period with a longer deal.
Top first round picks are potential franchise changers.
Calgary needs help on the top 6 especially right wing.
Tell those two teams to get real and throw money at Reimer.

They don't "have to". But they can't extend him either, so they will risk losing him for nothing July 1st 2017, if they hang onto him.

guessing it's a lot to do about nothing, but I just love what rumours like this do to the Penguins and their position on Fleury.
