Looking at it like this, dropping to 9th wouldn't be super bad after all.

Hard to be mad at the Flames for actually showing up for their final games.

Maybe one of those call ups are in the Flames future.

So one guy?

We had a guy drafted 4th overall two years ago. The Flames have incredible pieces in place. It's not a Canucks situation, they'd be in much more "trouble" being out of that top three position.

Fantastic players available where the Flames will pick. (probably not 9th)

There is No Hockey God.
Lies.

a) You aren't Steve Sullivan.

b) Think of how many NHL teams have longer cup droughts than the Flames.

c) The Flames had a crazy year last year that was one of the best times of my life.

I think changing the odds was a definite improvement to the lottery system, but there's still clearly a problem if so many fans can be upset about a win. Let's go with the Gold solution

Not that strong. Even so, we'll get quite great prospect

Yeah it potentially sucks but what can ya do? Who are you mad at?

The idea that teams in 7th 8th AND 9th all pass us is ludicrous. I suppose we should have gotten a couple more points to improve our standings if that's the cast.
I'm not mad at the Flames or anyone in particular, just mad at the situation. Yes, it may be irrational, but can't help how I feel. I'll get over it in a couple days.

How panicky must one be to actually believe the three teams behind the Flames will win all three spots, but the Flames, who have a better chance, won't.

If that's all you think that happened after those 2 late goals...

Meh, it's not like we're so starved for young talent that this draft is the most important thing ever. IMO we already have the young players needed, it's time to fill out the supporting case. I'll cheer for a win in the lottery, but not the losses to just slightly improve the odds.

Funny enough, I actually wouldn't mind Flames drafting 9th, as it means Toronto, Edmonton, and Vancouver draft outside top 3.

If the Flames get Dubois at six, I'm going to be laughing. He's going to be a major piece of whoever selects him.

This is the worst PGT ever. I'm glad the team isn't made of quitters.

I'm more worried about drafting 8th now. There's a bit of a drop after 7th, where we could get Dubois or Nylander. At 8th there's Juolevi, McLeod or someone else.
7th would be a fairly good spot; 8th less so.

I don't expect or want the Flames to deliberately go out and play like crap, so screw the Wild. And the leafs, oilers and canucks for that matter.

And that's just it, we'll still get a great player regardless. I'm not going to get all hot and bothered about it
