Way too long. I'm just not a fan of James Reimer. There's gotta be a better option out there.

There's no way Treliving bridges either Monahan or Gaudreau. And while Colborne might be worth 3 from an arbitrator, he might just give the hometown discount, considering also this is where he got his real shot and this is where he can have a decent role.

Edmonton has their 6x6
We apparently have a 3x3... that applies to Johnny, Money and Joe
How does Cox have a job?

I think there's better options but I'm really not sold on giving up assets for what will likely be a stop gap. Nobody available screams long term solution and Reimer is the only UFA I'd want. And I don't think he's that bad, put up decent numbers with the freakin' Leafs. The Leafs. I think he'd do well on a NHL team. Small sample size, but 0.926 with the Sharks so far

The only others without surrendering assets (which is a huge advantage to all these options over the better ones) are Ward and Ramo. Looking at those which might want an out include goaltenders like Bishop, but the cost is much greater and could come down to how much the team wants for them.

"he is top 10 in scoring...they should sign him for 3.5" are they gonna correct themselves?

Such utter nonsense.
On that train of thought, why don't they just sign everyone to $1m per? This cap management stuff is easy!

He even used Toffoli as an example but he only got 49 points last year.

I'm not sure. But someone with only a year of term left so we can walk away in case they don't work out and Ortio takes the next step, unless we're getting a proven starter like Varlamov.

I really think Treliving will trade the two late second round picks or a pick and a prospect for a goalie. It has been such a position of need this year, he wont risk leaving it to free agency and overpaying someone or not ending up with who he wants. I also think there will be a decent amount of teams looking to trade a goalie with the expansion draft coming up so the price won't be that high

Total aside: on my phone, so tough to find. Does anyone have the video of Hall and Eberle giving up on the play as a guy waltzes in and scores? (Which one? Amiright?)
