When you hear something regarding a trade, that means an agent, GM or other such employee of the NHL or clubs informed you of something before it made it onto the internet.

Minor deals tend to filter slowly. As TSN has noted, some of these deals don't come out to the public until up to 2 hours after the deadline actually passes.
