It'd be kinda cool if the kids absolutely dominate the Jets.

If Bennett has a huge debut, do you play him in the playoffs?

I'm going to wager that one of the jets takes a run at a veteran and the young guys don't take too kindly to it. And there will be a response in kind.

I think you do, but the other guys to watch will be the blueliners. If one of the kids puts in a big game I can see them getting the call.

Jets won't have anything to play for either. Should be some fun pond hockey. Unless Maurice does not want his team to take their foot off of the pedal heading into a potential match up between STL or ANA.

So you rather risk your starter to an injury in a meaningless game? If Ortio wasn't ready for game action he wouldn't have been the backup last game.

One thing to consider with the mock lineups are possible subs for playoffs. Eg: pairing Wotherspoon with Schlemko, to potentially replace Potter if needed. Or putting Bennett, Shore with possible bottom line combinations. Not just to see the players individually at the NHL level (because Winnipeg's doing the same thing, this is a grey zone between AHL and NHL game). But to also see chemistry for possible playoff lineups if call-ups are needed. I'm sure the lines will be mixed up plenty during the game, similar to pre-season.

Same argument could be made for all "day-to-day" regulars that are going to rest. He's the best option at 90% than the alternative at 100%. Doesn't mean he's totally healthy though.
However, given Thiessen still isn't on the roster, safe to say he's plenty healthy.

Possibly... But I would bet even if Bennett puts up 2 points tomorrow he would sit for the first game of the playoffs. But a huge game tomorrow would move him up the depth chart and could make him the guy in line to slot in if someone is injured or really struggles in the first round.

At the game tomorrow, so this is awesome news! (other than the injuries but, really, no surprise there - I would think every team is in a similar situation).
Please Hartley, give me:
Ferland - Bennett - Poirier

I'm not so sure. The Jets will be playing under the same mindset as us...ie looking to just get out of it with minimal exertion/damage, so apart from some kids trying to show what they can do, I don't think either team will play that physical, or try to run the opposition.
I think it will be closer to an All-Star game than a playoff game. I wouldn't be surprised if it final score was 7-5.

Jets are likely to play Adam Pardy for 25 minutes tomorrow.
Advantage Flames.

Absolutely there are players playing banged up at this time of year, but I'm pretty sure the Flames (and any other team in the same position) would be considering things like paper cuts as "day to day" in order to call up some guys and get the core some rest heading into the playoffs.

If Ramage were to wear number 55, it would be pretty cool.
I know he had a different training camp number, but for his first game in The Show it would be a great homage to his dad.

Flames are still fighting for the home ice advantage so why do you guys thinks these kids will play against the Jets. A combination of a win by the Flames and a lost by Canucks gives them home ice, unless Flames doesn't think the Oilers will even try to beat the Canucks... never mind it is the Oilers so I guess so might as well give the Canucks the home ice advantage.
I figured these guys will be the Black Aces during the playoffs. But if Hartley to put them in, I would assume they will rest Monahan, Gaudreau, Backlund and maybe Hudler and replace them with Bennett, Poirier, Shore and Wolf. Then Wotherspoon, Ramage and Zkulak replaces Wideman, Russell and Brodie.
