Ortio came up huge in the 3rd, that has to earn him another start. Ramo and Hiller should be getting worried because he's making one of them expendable
Raymond though, how disappointing. Completely invisible again after a healthy scratch, yet Granlund and every other forward who had to sit in the pressbox has come back the next game and looked good. Really hope Treliving finds someway to unload his contract at the deadline because he brings absolutely nothing to this team and there are 3 or 4 players in Adirondack that would be better suited taking his roster spot

So when Monahan reaches 1219, he'll have 41 OT winners? #### yeah. The kid is a god damn stud already.
|
In addition to the 4 OT winners, he also has 5 shootout game-deciding goals. He also had that great late third period GWG against the Devils last season, so, that's 10 wins the Flames have had in the last year and a half that have come directly off of Monahan's stick (of 59 total wins in that time).

Even more impressive is his composure. After the Sharks went up 3-2 his confidence never waivered and he only got stronger as the game went on. A good game to test his confidence.

The good: Colborne, Ortio, Raymond (!), Gio, Monahan (especially as the game went on), Bomma (sic), Wideman, Russell, Stajan, Granlund.
Not great games by Brodie and Johnny. Engelland wasn't good. Jones was not really noticeable, nor was Bollig (which is OK for the latter). Hudler got a goal but wasn't noticeable otherwise as well.

Agree. After the soft goal I said in the game thread it would be a good test of his composure. It turns out he is very solid. His biggest saves came after that.
