I explicitly stated "I'm not even saying there are no deaths ever" so I don't know what else to tell you.

Sure it can do harm but come on, comparing it to something that kills hundred of thousands annually is ridiculous. The reason it's so valuable medicinally is the side effects are so minimal in comparison to laboratory synthesized pharmaceuticals. Clearly you have a bias and it's irrational.
And then upon further thought changed my position. You however equate cigarettes to cannabis so there you go. I've never heard of anyone dying from it but concede that it's a possibility. You believe that if used regularly it would kill hundreds of thousands annually

Had this exact same discussion with a guy on another forum about 10 years ago. Needless to say he changed my mind on the whole thing. Pot should be fully legal and taxed appropriately to compete against black market pricing. This will solve huge crime and poverty issues within 2 years as has been shown in California and other high crime states.
I saw that video last night. It's so embarrassing for her. If she was capable of being embarrassed that is.
"BUT LOOK AT THIS VIDEO"
*well reasoned counterpoint*

There are 2 things on my bucket list that I will never achieve in on my short time on earth. Giving Nacey Grace the biggest bitch slap of all time and doing the same for Bill O'Riley. Two dangerous human beings that are paid to flat out lie to their viewers. I will never be able to die a completely full filled human.

My examples would be Colorado and Oregon. Being originally from the Netherlands legalizing marijuana makes sense. The money accumulated from sales is equal or 2x greater than alcohol. Colorado has chiosrn the tax the receive to boost education. Colorado's crime rate since legalization has plummeted .
In California medical use is legal and under a once is $100 fine . They are not a praise worthy system as the above mentioned tho.

The biggest savings are those in not having to spend millions catching pot users and putting them in jail. Colorado had $60 million in pot revenue, but saved almost $140 million by not having to go after pot users with the law. IIRC.
Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. on Friday barred local and state police from using federal law to seize cash, cars and other property without evidence that a crime occurred.
Holder’s action represents the most sweeping check on police power to confiscate personal property since the seizures began three decades ago as part of the war on drugs.
Since 2008, thousands of local and state police agencies have made more than 55,000 seizures of cash and property worth $3 billion under a civil asset forfeiture program at the Justice Department called Equitable Sharing.
It gave the cops criminal power, basically. Unbelievable that was allowed to happen.
I believe it. The police were told in New York to start harassing people to a quota or they'd not get promotions, get demotions and get the worst jobs. A lot of people slander the police but I question the authorities above them mandating behavior, curriculum and hiring policies.
Tuesday night at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, a source with knowledge of security issues along the United States-Mexico border shared this interesting tidbit: The supply of marijuana grown in the United States has become so abundant and cheap that in the regions of northern Mexico, where it used to be grown, farmers have taken to burning their crops.
Because of the increased domestic supply, it is no longer profitable for these Mexican farmers to grow, reap, and transport weed across the border.
