Bender: Claire, you wanna see a picture of a guy with elephantitis of the nuts? It's pretty tasty. Claire: No thank you. Bender: How does he ride a bike? Bender: Oh Claire, would you ever consider dating a guy who looked like this? Claire: Can't you just leave me alone? Bender: I mean even if he had a nice personality and a cool car... although you'd probably have to ride in the backseat because his nuts would ride shotgun
For $25 a pair, they better be massaging my boys all day long!
How is $25 an obscene amount of money for something that holds your wedding tackle for 16 hours a day? If you have a suit or a nice pair of jeans and you shart, that $25 is the only thing between washing your pants of having to buy a whole new outfit. It's seems akin to buying a really nice sports car and then cheaping out with $100 tires, when the tires are the only thing touching the road. Wouldn't you rather pay a bit extra and be extremely comfortable in the area that receives the most pleasure?
I wear Bjorn Borg underwear. Regular price I think is around $32. I never thought I was a high roller when I bought at this price. I bought a bunch during a boxing day sale last year and they were about half price. I appreciated the deal, but wasn't going to stop buying if it wasn't on sale.
$8.50 for a beer at the Dome? Of course I'll buy three during a game. $25 for underwear? Hell no. That's like three beers.

Due to this thread I went out and bought a pair yesterday, however I went too tight on the waist size and need to go to their medium sizing I think for a more comfortable fit overall.
But the feel is damn good, will be adding these to my wish list for birthday's/Xmas going forward for sure.
Swimco Market Mall had a pretty good selection of the different styles and colours, pricing seemed to range from $27-$37 depending on those factors. Sport Chek there had a very minimal selection, one style and colour only for $36.
I wear a variety of brans but one thing I hate is cotton. Synthetic fabrics are much more comfortable and last longer.
Yeah I find the comments about $25 underwear being expensive quite funny.
I guess you can't wrong with a $9.99 four pack from Walmart but comfort and quality are terrible and style is non-existent. Although it may seem strange to some, Ive always gotten positive comments about my underwear when I was single and dating, and now that Im married I always feel confident wearing a stylish pair of underwear when with my wife.
I don't give a crap what others wear but sometimes at the gym you can't help but notice dudes with raggedy assed tightywhities changing right beside you and the odd guy with skid marks on the outside. Like wtf. Those sights can not be unseen. Even trying to look at the floor you can catch the odd glimpse of things you don't want to see.

I find that you get sweatier in them then a $7 pair of tightly whities.
I have a couple of pairs and they are alright. I'm afraid I really don't see the hype. I'm kind of more the hangin'-loose-boxer-type-'o-guy. I don't wear tight jeans or anything so maybe that makes the difference?
I don't dislike them, I just don't love them anywhere near enough to spend that on my undies.
I can only speak for myself, but I don't wear tight anything when it comes to pants. Even the popular straight leg pant is too tight for my taste. Just personal preference regarding Saxx I suppose.
I hear ya about the price, I have trouble spending that much on myself for unmentionables too. That's probably why I still only have the 3 pairs I got for Jesusmas. My mom's gift every year lately is the expensive, designer (pick 1 or 2) socks/underwear/housecoat/slippers that I would otherwise never buy myself, I love it. Funny how those were always the lamest gifts growing up, and now they're arguably my favourite as an adult.
I got a couple pairs of saxx because I thought they'd be good for urban cycling without having to wear cycling shorts. They aren't great for that but they are really comfortable. Almost too comfortable if you know what I mean. I find the rate of unprompted 'movements' is higher with them on.
I have some tommy hill finger ones that are similar, but I only use them when wearing suits etc.
Otherwise I'm all about the joe boxer free and easies! Surprisingly, they are also around 25 bucks but can you put a price on freedom? When someone asks me how's it hanging I can at least give a definitive answer.
Hopefully you change your underwear daily and assuming you wear it at night, then assume you buy only 7 pairs at the start of the year. That works out to about 2 cents per hour for comfort.
$25 for a pair of mens underwear is cheap when I look at what my wife (and I) spend on her underwear.
I, like BigTime, am curious about Saxx as I haven't heard about them before this thread.
That said, like a good Nova Scotian I wear Stanfeilds (good Conservatives should be wearing them too!), generally buying them from the factory whenever I pass Truro on te way back from Halifax on a non-Sunday.
That said, I have several pairs of Under Armour which I like, especially while travelling. Would Saxx be comparable to UA?

Nope, because UA are designed to hold/press your junk in a bit. So imagine UA, but with a soft hand gently cupping you in a more natural position, in front of your thighs.

If that's the case, aren't I supposed to buy them dinner first?

From what you and other maritimers have told me about Truro I would think that'd be the last place you'd want to buy underwear from!
Back to the Saxx's, they sound intriguing. Think I might order a pair. 25 is a bit higher than what I pay now, (bout 12-15 for a single pair of nice boxer-briefs) but I'm surprised by all those saying it's outrageous. It's all about quality. I don't mind higher prices if the product rocks.
