Currently 1:45am in New York and the Sox and Yankees are heading to the 19th inning. 1 run each in the 16th and 1 run each in the 18th.

Anyone catch the weird delivery that Carter Capps for the Miami Marlins uses to pitch? Its the weirdest I have ever seen.

^ I really can't tell what a balk is nowadays, but I would somewhat think that jerking motion could be deemed balks a handful of times this year. I also don't see how you can be that accurate with your pitches with so many moving parts. Seems like a gimmick to me.

Looks like Josh Hamilton is going back to the Rangers.

He's owed $83m through 2017 and the Angels would pay all but $15m with apparently no players going back.

I'm curious on the details.

I said from the get go that LA is the worst place for Hamilton. Hopefully this helps him get back on track.

Orioles postponed today. Will play tomorrow at 2:05 but the stadium will not be open to the public, and their weekend series against the Rays has been moved to Tampa Bay though Baltimore will still be the home team. Tomorrow's empty stadium game should be fun!

It is rather strange to me that they won't move these games to Washington or New York, which are much closer. Or hell, put them in Montreal! They could probably draw 20k without a sweat, despite the lack of notice!

The Rays are used to that.

They are, but that game is Chisox-Baltimore.

Honestly, how hard would it have been to move that game to Washington?

Money, money, money, MONNAY! I'm sure it's about how to split gate revenue and stuff like that.

I am tempted to watch part of the game tomorrow, just to see an empty ballpark.

Sure, but they would be giving up a split of $0 today - and losing on the costs of operating the park - and there probably won't be more than 5000 people for the games in Tampa, when they could have at least drawn some of their own fans if played in Washington.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/...ns-can-attend/

I like how they will still have the jumbotron entertainment

"Guess the attendance"
"Kiss cam" (it'll be showing players)

and finally
"LET'S MAKE SOME NOISE!!!!"

Resolute: The Orioles and the Natinals hate each other. They'll fight over a hot dog. They actually should have played the game in Philly.

The Rays probably wish they were playing the series against Baltimore in Philly instead of in their own bleepcan dump of a ballpark.

Kershaw vs Bumgarner this afternoon (Madison won first two match-ups). Giants can move within 1.5 games of LA.

NL playoff spots look like WAS, STL, LA and SF (again)?

3rd inning - Bumgarner hits a monster HR to put SF up 1-0. First pitcher to hit a HR off Kershaw.

Giants sweep LA shutting them out 3 times. 7-2 vs LA this year I think.

7 shutouts in May.
