Oddly enough, the Dutch guy that CBC had on the phone described him as a native american. Which would fit with the long black hair and which would make things a little more odd.
Holy crap. Does that sound like a rifle shot followed by a couple dozen handgun shots?
It did sound like two different guns. One louder shot and then the quick ones. I am far from a gun expert, but I wouldn't think a rifle would fire off that many shots that quickly.
Follow @acarvin on Twitter he's the best journalist that I know of on Twitter and he's on this now. He decribes the video as:
"Audio sounds like initial gunshot - very loud - followed by sustained (return?) fire of 15-25 rounds. Video showed police proceeding cautiously down hallway, guns drawn. Loud bang down the hall, then sustained gunfire."
Oddly enough, the Dutch guy that CBC had on the phone described him as a native american. Which would fit with the long black hair and which would make things a little more odd.
that's pretty irrelevant.
The beauty and I hate to use the word. of the incident in Quebec is it will show every nut job out there with a grievance the road map to a successful attack if your willing to pretty much die in the process.
To me, I'm waiting for more information, but as I've said before, taking these people alive to find out who's pulling the string is almost irrelevant. This could be the age of the uncontrollable terrorist. Angry people not linked to any group, but inspired by a map of terror (ISIS telling people to run over their enemies with their car).
If there's no large cells to infiltrate, no money and no communications to track, these kind of things will come out of nowhere with little to no warning.
Do you want to know who's pulling the string. The people running around pumping minds full of venom and poison and setting them loose here or abroad. But these recruiters aren't setting up terror cells at all. They're setting up little trip mines with no mandate.

I am sorry, how would you described someone armed storming the parliament building, shooting a soldier at a war memorial?
frankly I dont know what to call it, I dont know details. For all i know it could be a disgruntled farmer with a shot gun pissed at the government for something.
re PM being evacuated - that would be standard procedure if any shot was fired on the hill.
It seems as though more is going on since my original statement.
I dont know what is happening, maybe I am naive but I just didnt feel the need to paint the situation as terrorist at the time based on the info I had while only reading this thread.

I couldn't really tell what I was hearing in that video because there is so much noise but if they had a C7, which is standard issue for our military, those can fire over 700 rounds a minute.
