Why didn't we deserve it? If they can only score 1 PP goal(a lucky, questionable tip in to boot) in 50 odd shots, why is that our fault? We did everything we had to do to win. Battled out of our skins, had Hiller to save us with some incredible saves, took 2 chances when they came.

We deserved it because for all their talent, the Hawks couldn't beat us. Fully deserved win, just being outplayed and shot doesn't mean its undeserved.

Refs were turrible...most of the Flames penalties were fine but the Hawks were not held to the same standard

and you don't have to apologize for good goal tending...he is part of the team and the best player on the ice, why shouldn't he get the win?

Really goes to show the contrast between the Flames and Oilers.

Both two of the worst teams, the Oil get spanked by the Kings, and we fight and claw a win over the Hawks.

Yes we were outplayed and out-shot, but between Hiller, Gio and Brodie, and a good effort all the way around when on the 2nd night of a back to back... shows a huge difference between us and Deadmonton.

Backlund had 22:29 min of ice time tonight what a fantastic two way forward he has become. To put his ice time into context - Byron was second among forwards with a mere 19:40.

Draisaitl and Yak both played over 14 minutes yesterday! Hartley should call up Baertschi and let him, Monahan and Gaudreau just focus on offense.

You don't want the Flames copying the Oilers, do you? Leaving their young players out to the wolves?

The Blackhawks played almost a full period with the man advantage. Hartley managed his bench well.

They're not the best options for PK. We had lots of PK.

Anything done by the Oilers is probably stupid.

Giordano and Brodie are just a treat to watch. They are pretty damn close to elite level (if they aren't there already)

2 OT games now, and not a single second of ice time for Johnny in 4 on 4 situations. WTF? Other than that, what a great win! Always nice to steal points from elite teams like the Hawks. Hiller is a beast.

Byron is a hell of a player and I can't believe we didn't sign him instantly.

Byron with a hell of a game! Was that f'ing Kipper in net?? Absolutely stolen single-handedly by Hiller! Deserving of 1st star. This win was revenge for when Emery stole that game a while back. Woooooo!!!
