That would be a great game to watch. Last year was probably the most fun I've had watching the Flames since 04, the Vancouver game will go down in infamy.

Hopefully Wolf can crack the lineup. That's a scary lineup, back to the black and blue Flames.

CapGeek is now confirming it is a 1 year, 1 way deal for $775,000.

He is now the 4th lowest paid guy on the regular roster. Byron, McGrattan, Setoguchi are the only guys that will make less this year.

A good chunk of the AHL guys would also make more then him if they were called up and stayed in the NHL. This includes guys like Hanowski, Knight, Van Brabant and Jooris.

curious if this is indeed his bridge deal, and he'll be looking for a komarov type deal on his ufa contract.

Default Flames sign Lance Bouma - 1 Year Contract ($775k)

Aren't bridge deals usually for top 6/top 4 players? 2-3 years at moderate dollar amounts before a potentially huge contract?

Meant to quote post above ^

Usually. I tend to define bridge contracts as the RFA contract you get before you get the deal that extends into your free agency eligible years... hence the "bridge" in that it's the deal in between the two parts of your career. I suppose you could consider it a bridge contract.

ELC Years -> Bridge Years -> UFA Years

Although I tend to think of bridge contracts as being more then 1 year deals personally since I believe their purpose is to get a guy you think will be good but aren't sure they'll be good locked up on the cheap for a few years that way if they break out the first year of the bridge you get them at a reduced rate for an extra season while simple one year extensions seem more like a get it over with kick the can down the road type of deal.
