Obviously Iginla boston, but Ducks for the West.
I really liked the old cartoony logo back when too many teams were taking things too serious.
Also I like thier message board. They had a lot of great things to say about Calgary. They hate vancouver and laugh at Edmonton

Surprised at the Columbus love. I agree though -- I'd want to see that franchise do well.
Other loyal fan bases who 'deserve' long playoff runs:
San Jose
Minnesota
Montreal
LA, Anaheim, Pittsburgh -- screw you guys, bandwagon fans who are blessed with good teams.
Chicago, Boston -- good fans, but you guys win too much. Give someone else a chance.
Montreal fans deserve nothing.
Maybe because you are in the States you do not realize how awful they are but they are on Oilers/Canucks level of awful fans.
I don't live in the States. I live in Calgary -- I bought a cake here once.
I'm speaking from a utilitarian standpoint -- greatest good to the greatest number. Montreal have a huge and rabid fan base. The joy they would experience from winning the cup would be much much greater than, say, ho hum, Boston winning another sports title. Same goes for San Jose, Minnesota, or even Philly -- cities that care about hockey. I would also much rather cheer for any Canadian city to win a cup than an American city. Canadians CARE about hockey -- it means so much more to Canadians hockey fans to celebrate a Stanley Cup than to American fans.
Do some cities have annoying obnoxious fans? Yea. But these same cities also have a much larger loyal diehard fanbase that shouldn't be marginalized because of a minority of rotten apple fans. Look at Toronto: many fans have been cheering for 40+ years without a cup. That's diehard. That type of commitment is 'deserving' of some type of accolade.

The problem with that - there might be more people in Canada that hate the Habs than love the Habs. MTL winning the Cup would not be the greatest good, but very painful to millions.
Doing a playoff player pool tonight. 6 Forwards, 3 D, 2 goalies. So naturally I'm going to load up on the players I think will make it to the conference finals, and I'm probably going to load up especially on Bruins players as I think they'll get there fairly easily. Couple questions:
1. What's the general consensus on the STL/CHI series? Before the injuries and late season slump, I was banking on STL all the way. I almost want to pick no one from that series...I think it's the toughest first round pick there is.
2. How does the 2nd round work with the new playoff format? Highest seed through plays lowest seed through?
The Sharks have to make it to the SCF's this year... I think this is their peak year. I just don't see it happening with how stacked the west is.
I think the toughest team Bruins will deal with will surprisingly be the Red Wings.
Detroit will be tough, especially now that they're getting some players back. Datsyuk is back, Zetterberg is close, and their young guys stepped up to carry the team while they were out (Nyquist should almost be in Hart trophy talks, even though he won't win). If they're healthy, the Red Wings can never be written off.
