- Flames finish last in the division and 13th in the conference.
- Fans will be wishing we were as competitive as we were under Brent Sutter
- Iginla plays out the entire season with Calgary and there is mass uncertainty as to what he will do and what the Flames should do after the season.
- Canucks win the division, Oilers finish 3rd.

I think the shortened schedule plays into the Flames hand as they get off to a hot start and finish 6th in the west. Sven finishes with 14 goals 18 assists and is named a runner up for the calder trophy.

Carolina is the surprise team in the east with the stall brothers, skinner and semin having instant chemistry. And in the west Dallas surprises and takes the pacific division.
It has been so long I've honestly forgotten all the moves damn there's so many players moved

And fans will blame the fact that the Flames are terrible on the fact that not many Flames played during the lockout.

I think this is a make or break year for Feaster. Even though it's a shorten'd season I think he has had time to show what he can do with this club. Some of the moves at the end of last season(drafting included) intreage me.

I'm already blaming most goals on Bouwmeester and/or Butler

We don't need a team of names. We need a team.

Iginla's streak of 30-goal seasons is ended.

Flames lose in conference finals to the kings or blues. wild miss the playoffs. oilers finish closer to last than first. leafs make the playoffs. canucks lose in the first round - can't blame lulu this time. rags make it out of the east but lose in the finals to an unlikely champ.

Baertschi is a Calder finalist. Iggy pots 26. Kipper 4th in Vezina voting. Jbo resurgence! - 7g16a 23 pts after ending his iron man streak early in the season. Backlund hits his stride and Stajan still stinks.

As much as I love the Flames unless Hartley pulls a rabbit out of his hat I don't see us making the playoffs.

I don't understand the Oilers love, it's the same team that finished 14th in the west last season with the addition of two prospects who have not played in the NHL before and a new head coach. The defence looks weak in my opinion and goaltending is unproven.

You never know with the shortend season and all but I don't see them making any significant leaps in the standings.

Philly takes the cup this year.

EDM will have a fast start to the season since they are one of a few teams (if not the only) that has the most core players playing competitive (fulltime) hockey. Players like Hall, Eberle, RNH, Hemsky, Smid, Gagner, Yakupov, Schultz (?) and to some extent Dubnyk will help in the shortened season.
