Reaction in Vancouver is pretty mixed. Some sad, some furious, but a lot of people realizing that he was past his best before date and have faith in what Wally is doing. Lions saving cap space here to bring back guys like Gore and Olifoye who are on the better side of 30.
Geroy was like Trevor Linden in this city though, he will be missed. Not too many atheletes in BC, let alone a CFL player have first name recognition like Geroy does. He was massive over here. He's just not going to look right in Rider green.

Wally doesn't is not known for giving up on a good player unless they are 1 of 3 things.
1 have got little left in the gas tank.
2 They can't reach a salary agreement with them.
3 Are a problem in the locker room.
Sorry Rider nation its #1.
37 year old WR. Just ask Copeland how that plays out.
Geroy was great but not anymore.

If Simon can put up 600 yards and 4 TDs this is a good trade for the Riders. Anything more than that and this is a great trade. I don't think those are lofty or unreasonable numbers for someone who thinks he still has stuff in the tank.

BREAKING: Have learned the Edmonton #Esks have traded for #BCLions back-up QB Mike Reilly. Done deal. Massive move by #Eskimos. #CFL
Arash Madani @ArashMadani
Pre-emptive strike by #Eskimos to land the QB they wanted before free agency. Mike Reilly had interest from #Bombers, too. #CFL #Esks

Already signed:
Arash Madani @ArashMadani
For those asking if the Reilly trade involves conditional picks, it's irrelevant: Mike Reilly has signed an extension with the #Esks. #CFL

Couldn't trade him to an Eastern team Wally?
Ah well, hopefully turns out to be a flash in the pan.
I wonder where Glenn will end up?

I think he will be a good QB.
Was hoping he would end up in Winnipeg and wouldn't be competing in the West.
Well done Edmonton.

Esks trade Messam to Als for a 6th round pick.
So Boyd and Messam gone. Charles the primary back?
Stamps sign Terence Jeffres-Harris.

Tad was too slow...need better from that position.
Jeffers-Harris is surprising, I thought we have enough depth at that position.

Eskimos could have gotten more than a 6th round pick for Jerome Messam. He is a good Canadian RB a ratio breaker. In other news, Edmonton acquired two Canadians, linebacker Nathan Kanya and the rights to offensive lineman Carson Rockhill in exchange for offensive lineman Greg Wojt, linebacker Simoni Lawrence and quarterback Jeremiah Masoli.

Man, Rambo was never the same after that injury from getting horse collared.
Too bad, he had talent.
