And I like that. The one thing I like about my iPad 1 over the 2 is the fact it is a little heavier, and more 'sturdy' feeling. The 2 just felt to thin/fragile to me.

The only thing I have that I have higher are the two 30" monitors I have. It kills me to use anything less than 2560x1600 at a desk. But that's 30" versus this at less than 10" - it's gonna look amazing in person.

I have both. The 3G is far more reliable. The hotspot is good, but it can be flaky at times and if your iPhone battery is on the weaker side you're totally screwed.

Does anyone find that the current iPad (2) is difficult to hold for a long amount of time? The corners, though rounded, always bother me after awhile. Maybe I have the palms of a lady...

No, I find it hard to hold in one hand for a long period of time as well. That's why we are getting a case with a hand strap in the back.

So processor is quad core
Now we're talking about the quad-core A5X. "It makes everything you do feel real fast and smooth." But, still 10 hour battery life.

iPad 2 not being discontinued. Should keep resale value pretty healthy in that case.

A co-worker downloaded Siri onto his jailbroken iphone4. The response time was very slow compared to the 4s. It was so slow that I found it more annoying than helpful.

They're not really calling it "The New iPad", are they? What will they call next year's model, "The Newer iPad"?

no, it's just called the iPad.
i.e. it's called the iPad, and it's new, therefore it's the new iPad.

No, next years model will be called the New iPad and this years model will be called iPad Classic. Apple is getting tired of being sued by the tech giants so they are switching their naming strategy to copy from other industries.

So, what's new in iOS 5.1? Only Japanese Support for Siri?

I actually find the iPad1 ergonomically better than the iPad2. The 2 hurts my hand after awhile, and I really don't like the rounded edges.

When I was in the Philippines last month, you should have seen how many people were using iPads as cameras. It looked goofy as hell, but the one thing in it's favour is you can see right away what the picture will look like blown up.
Sorry, I should say I thought it looked goofy as hell. My wife said to me "Look, we should have brought our tablet with us as well."
