Well, weather is fine in Seattle, and, shockingly, Hasslebeck throws yet another first posession interception. I think that's 5 this season.

10-0 early.

Seattle has to play with nothing to lose...because they really don't. They also need a LB with some size and strength..Tatupu and Curry are good athletes but not nearly intimidating enough as run stoppers.

Edit: I hate that US stations on HD are now simsubbed with Canadian ones and the same commercials (Hyundi's BS carbon footprint free commercials) and CTV previews.
Also, the NBC's 3rd string crew that are used to calling Notre Dame losses. Bring back Don Criqi and Merlin Olsen!

Saints aren't going to repeat as champs this year paying defense like that. Just awful on that Seahawks possession.

I get trying to keep the ball away from Leon Washington on kick-offs. But if it means starting at midfield every possession, I'd rather they just kick it out of bounds. C'mon man!

And ya EE, that's probably the worst defensive series I've seen all year from the Saints. Just awful tackling, positioning, everything.

Nice drive there by the Saints. I like the commitment to the run, despite PT/Ivory/Betts being out. Not running great though, man I miss Ivory. Payton breaks out too many tricks for my liking when the run's not working well. Can't really complain so far though.

EDIT: On that Seahawks TD our SS Harper just badly blew 3 plays in a row. Get the hell out of there!

Another brutal series by the Saints defense. They better hope that the offense can continue to score points as it seems the Hawks have totally out-schemed them. The Saints are having to work much harder to get their points and that's not good.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but I think you're overreacting on the Webb thing. Matt Flynn lit up the Pats' defense a week earlier. I think it was just an example of a team not gameplanning for a QB and also under-estimating him.

I do agree with you on the Eagles' line and secondary. It's something I griped about before the season started. Jason Peters might be the most overrated LT in the entire NFL.

The key to this game will be if Andy Reid commits to the run. The Packers have a pretty bad run defense. McCoy, Harrison, and Vick could gash them for big gains, but Philly is screwed if Reid pulls his typical abandoning the run in the first half.

Getting the fans into this is huge for the Seahawks. They have absolutely nothing to lose here.

Yah i bought

SEA +10
BAL -3
GB +2.5

Seahawks looking good so far, i think GB is a lock, and BAL i'm pretty sure should beat KC handily.

Seahawks now up by 7 after a bomb to Stokely.

So far I'm pretty surprised that the Saints defence has let the Seahawks put up the yardage they have in the first half. I figured with these conditions it would be a huge, huge advantage for the Saints. I guess this is why you play the game.

Stokley!!! Great to see him get a touchdown in the post season. This is just an epic collapse by the Saints D.

Much more entertaining than I expected. Looks like one of those rare occasions where the Saints are completely getting out-coached. Still a half left but Brees has that look in his eyes that you see a lot from Henry Burris when he's off his game. What an upset.

As much as I dislike the Seahawks a part of me can't help but cheer for them. They took some serious heat this week for their 7-9 records (rightfully so) but win today and you shut-up all the pundits. Plus I don't really care for the Saints.

Ya I'm starting to think losing FS Malcolm Jenkins is bigger than losing PT/IVory. Secondary's just getting shredded today.

I can't believe this is only the first half. This game would be so much more enjoyable if I wasn't emotionally involved in it.

Harper is playing breeze-by defensive strategy. Stockey ran past everyone!

Good half. Offensive play calling has been very good, the best variety maybe in the past few years. It still all begins and ends with Hasslebeck...he's stuck with the program so far, throwing the ball away properly (although he's lucky another one didn't get picked), and has to stay with that plan.

Too often he goes "cowboy" and thinks he knows more then the coaches, and plays end in INT's. That said, he's got the lead and he's come from behind by sticking with the plan. NO will make some adjustments, SEA will have to match, and Hasslebeck just has to trust the playcalling and use his arm to execute rather than think too much.
SEA defense is playing as usual, although they are getting more pressure on Brees, so that's helped. Far too soft 8-14 yards down the field.
But in the end, its all there for the team with a half to go and its up to Hasslebeck to finish it off...or else.
