took a step back from the story stuff (apart from taking down Trobbio) in Silksong and did some optional/sidequest stuff lately. Took down some (mini-) bosses along the way (Phantom, Groal the Great, Moorwing, Broodmother, Disgraced Chef Lugoli, Signis and Gron) and had a blast, for the most part at least. Surprised how easy Moorwing was in Act 2, I completely missed that fight in Act 1 (because I did pretty well with the fleas, apparently) and I'm sure it would have been a struggle. The only one I just can't beat right now is First Sinner, her heal ability just completely thows me off.

You need to be really aggressive on First Sinner. Keep chasing her down and don't give her time to heal. Don't spend time using tools except for something like poison cogflies. They can help either from hitting when you can't, or from the ticking poison damage which will interrupt the heal.
Anyway, First Sinner is my favorite fight in the game. It's super dramatic and the fast pace of the fight feels manageable compared to something like First Judge.
Damn Takezo is a hard mofo. Waaay too fast for my sloth-like reflexes!
You do not need to keep his dumb charms equipped to fight him, just to get him to show up. Bounty master armour, use actual good charms (increase parry window etc), don’t get greedy when you attack after parries, and save quick weapon uses for the tail end of the fight.

Picked up TMNT: Splintered Fate since it's on a 60% sale, and I'm pleasantly surprised with how good it is. Best description I can manage is if you took the TMNT arcade games and fused them with Hades and the Marvel Ultimate Alliance games. Tons of depth with upgrades and build options, and it goes heavy into the TMNT lore if you're a fan of the show. Definitely worth the $25 for the game and expansion DLCs

Picked up a couple games on the Black Friday sale. The Metal Gear remake and Gears of War. As a PlayStation guy I haven’t played it and for $32 sure why not. As for Metal Gear I can’t remember playing this one back in 04 so it will be new to me.

Its true...all the trades are good. For the PS5 they needed console, controller, power cable, hdmi cable, usb C cable. Cables dont have to be the originals.

I bought Age of Empires IV and 2 off Fanatical today and came one segment from winning Silent Hill 2: Deluxe Edition on their wheel spin. I'm currently playing it on PS+ though so it would have just been something I added to my Steam collection.
I also bought Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection off of GMG for less than $20. I played it when it originally came out on Playstation but I wanted to play it again on PC.
There was a price error on the Mortal Kombat Elder God Bundle yesterday on Steam and I got MK1: Definitive Edition for $10 after tax since I had everything else. I'm still expecting an email saying my order has been cancelled but so far I've got nothing.

I am pretty stoked for that Marvel Cosmic Invasion game. My Daughter and I really enjoyed playing Ninja Turtles shredders revenge and this looks like a better version of that!
Speaking of Marvel, I signed up to participate in the MARVEL Tokon: Fighting Souls closed beta on PS5 in December. Don't know much about the game but looks like a Smash Bros/Marvel cross-over. Should be fun.
